What are you craving (or did you crave) during pregnancy?

With my first daughter, I craved peaches - although they never agreed with me - and school pizza (remember the kind they serve in wedges in school cafeterias? Yeah, you can't find them ANYWHERE when you really, really want them.) With this little girly, I haven't craved too much. The biggest thing has been Cry Babies - the sour gumballs. They're not easy to come across where I live either. My dear sweet husband actually found a plastic container of them in a convenience store last night, and had the poor cashier stand there and count out all 180 of them. I'm in sour heaven today!!:D So what did you crave?

With my son it was taco's. Sometimes I would stop at Taco Bell on the way home from work. Then I would make taco's for dinner. Everything had to have hots or Banana peppers on it. I ate banana peppers straight out of the jar. I can't do that anymore. Oh and garlic pickles. With my daughter I ate a S'mores candy bar every day. Well, that is after I stopped throwing up for more then 10 minutes.

I had a different craving with each one of my kids - #1, son it was pizza all hours of the day and night - #2 son, Mexican, the hotter and spicier the better - #3, only daughter, it was McDonalds (note, her first word was fren fwry when she saw the arches), #4, son strawberries and strawberry icecream 24/7 (different from others he doesn't like strawberries).

When I was pregnant, I had the worst cravings for grilled cheese sandwiches. I couldn't get enough of 'em. I think at some point though, I thought about it and realized that the only reason I wanted them was because they were a comfort food, and because for the first time I had an excuse to eat them in abundance, "because I was pregnant." I decided that they probably weren't the best thing to be eating for a growing baby, and stopped. My food aversions were a lot harder to deal with. The smell and taste of chicken made me ill for most of my pregnancy. I couldn't go near a KFC because the air was permeated with that smell. And eggs and pickles disgusted me. I think I was well into my 8th month before I could tolerate those foods again.

This time around I'm craving pizza rolls -- I eat them all the time. At first I was craving Philly cheese steaks, but I got over that one. I also about once or twice a week really get a craving for boneless buffalo wings, the really really spicy kind. It's all very odd. With my first pregnancy, I craved baja chicken chalupas from Taco Bell. That craving stopped when they accidentally gave me a steak one, and I got food poisoning. Yuck.

When I was expecting my son I craved bananas and cornflakes. Not such an unusual craving I suppose but at 3am in the morning I would wake up desperately wanting my bananas and cornflakes

I had head so much about pregnant ladies craving this and that before I got pregnant that when I did I was kind of expecting all those crazy cravings I heard about. TO my surprise I don't recall having any special craving when I was pregnant. I know I had the most wonderful time with both pregnancies but there was nothing really that I craved. I asked my husband if he noticed something in case I wasn't remembering and he told me that I didn't seem to have any special craving either time. I guess I'm one of the exceptions, but it appears that I didn't crave anything in special LOL

OMG! I craved the school pizza too, with my first and the school chicken nuggets, but you are right cant find them anywhere... With my first I craved steak and potatoes. Although I could barely keep anything down. With my second I craved chocolate and sweets. With this one, I am craving different things, I craved cinnamon rolls yesterday and with all of them I craved milk...I would drink it it would taste so good, then immediately always come back up. But the doc said most of the needed nutrients would stay in my body for the baby, so I figured it was worth it =)

With my first child I craved 100 Grand candy bars and Denny's onion rings with Honey Mustard dressing. With my second it was mashed potatoes, ALOT of mashed potatoes! LOL And with my son I also craved peaches, and for some reason eggplant parmigiana. My sis is pregnant now and starting cravings, she's drinking a ton of chocolate mile and broccoli cheese soup! LOL I told her if she ever wants fried chicken to call me, I'll share a bucket with her!

I have three children and had cravings with them all. Each one of them was a different craving. The first one it was peanut m&ms and apple juice. The second one was chocolate of any kind and the last one was doughnuts from the local doughnut shop.

I used to crave the hotdogs and grape slush puppies that they had in this little restaurant in Walmart. I used to make my husband drive 25 minutes to the only Walmart that had them to get me them at least twice a week.

I only had one real craving with my first child, and that was for lemonheads. With the other two, I didnt get cravings. With the first one, I also lived off of Mountain Dew and Rold Gold pretzels (I had gallstones and couldnt eat fatty foods). I also loved rice crispie treats.
