Did You Or Would You Wear White On Your Wedding Day?

I am a very traditional person and, like all little girls, I dreamed of looking like a princess on my wedding day. However, even though I was engaged early on in my twenties, I broke that engagement and didn't actually get married until I was in my early thirties. I never got my princess wedding dress with the veil like I always dreamed of. Instead, I kept it very practical and wore an off-white tea-length dress with a small head piece and no veil. It was almost a hundred degrees on the day I got married and I don't regret my decision not to wear a full-length gown or not to wear a snow white dress. Did you wear a white dress on your wedding day? Was it a traditional gown or something out of the ordinary? If you haven't got married yet, what is your dream dress?

I didn't wear a white dress on my wedding day, but that's because in the religion I follow blue and green are the traditional wedding colors. The dress that I did wear was a light minty kind of green with a white lace overlay that had leaf cutouts, which worked very well with the color. The dress was made by my best friend, who also loaned us the use of her home and many other wonderful gifts on my wedding day.

Well, your dress sounds very lovely and I love to read about various traditions, especially when it comes to weddings. Thanks for sharing.

On Our Wedding Day - My Husband And I
I wore a cream on cream tatau patterned wedding dress that my Aunt made for me in Samoa. I also had a veil of the same color too (my mom wanted me to have one LOL) I didn't get married unti I was 31 so when the time was right for me, I wanted my dress to be unique and different to traditional dresses and also showed a bit of my culture.

I didn't wear a traditional wedding dress when I got married. Instead I wore a pretty pink two piece suit (bottom part was a skirt that had ruffles) on my wedding day. This dress was for special occasions that my mom bought me a few years before I got married. I even wore it on my graduation day from high school. :P

Yes why not, BUT if I'm still pure and virgin hehehe coz white symbolises purity, but now since I have two kids maybe I would not. I would choose a lilac or pink coz it's my favorite.

Like you in a way I didn't get married till I was 30 actually we got married the day before my 31st birthday :) But anyway I didn't wear white or anything close to it. I wore a very nice purple dress that has flowers and a jacket. I chose this dress partly be casue I knew I would need a dress the next month for my cousin's wedding and also casue I can still wear the dress for other big events. I don't think it relaly matters if a woman wears white it is more her personal choice.

I got married when I was 18 and I didn't wear a white dress, it was cream colored dress and no veil, it was a quick wedding. I got divorced after being married for 4 years. Next time when I get married I don't think I would go for a traditional gown but I want something close to that I want the formal wedding and formal engagement, I want things done right for their second time around.

I wear a long white wedding dress for my day with a long train that was the second longest they made. Also had the veil and everything else that goes with it. I would not have had it all that if it was not on sale 75% off price. So could not pass up the deal.

I wore an off white wedding dress too, i used to think I will have white too since all of my sisters wore white but had a changed of mind when it was my turn to get married. I opted for an off white with a long veil and a shawl.Very filipiniana which was my wedding theme.

Budget didn't allow me to have a wedding dress, so i purchased a floor length silver skirt and had a white shirt tht was gorgous. My dream dress is to much to describe but my husband promised me that one day we would renew our vows and have my dream wedding. He still makes that promise every anniversary. 5 years in september, he said our 10 th anniversary... hopefully so.. however I feel now as I even did then.. I married the greatest man in the world, my best friend, and who I wanted to be with forever so if we always dream of the "dream" wedding but never have it, I still got the best end of the deal.

During my wedding day last 7 years ago, I wore white gown, ankle length, off shoulder..I was so comfortable with what I wear that time plus the happiness inside brought more emphasis on the gown.
