Inside the mind of the terrorists

A former radical Islamic terrorist explains how they justify their violent actions in the link below. It makes for interesting reading. I hope you will all read it, especially Muslims. This is because the terrorists seem to hate other Muslims almost as much as the infidel! What? How can that be? Well, if you do doubt it, you must remember that the terrorists are killing more Muslims than Infidels! It is true. Let's look at an excerpt from the article. "For centuries, the reasoning of Islamic jurists has set down rules of interaction between Dar ul-Islam (the Land of Islam) and Dar ul-Kufr (the Land of Unbelief) to cover almost every matter of trade, peace and war. But what radicals and extremists do is to take this two steps further. Their first step has been to argue that, since there is no pure Islamic state, the whole world must be Dar ul-Kufr (The Land of Unbelief). Step two: since Islam must declare war on unbelief, they have declared war upon the whole world. Along with many of my former peers, I was taught by Pakistani and British radical preachers that this reclassification of the globe as a Land of War (Dar ul-Harb) allows any Muslim to destroy the sanctity of the five rights that every human is granted under Islam: life, wealth, land, mind and belief." Click this link to read the full article. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=465570&in_page_id=1770 There you have it. An explanation of how the people who self regard themselves as the holiest of the holy among Muslims, justify in their own minds the right to kill, maim, torture, rape, and steal whenever they feel like it and to feel proud and righteous at the same time. The people of the world, Muslims and everybody else, need to convince more of these terrorists to do as the author of the article did. Give up being a terrorist. What do you say? Any ideas on how to convince them?

Yes, I know you are right. The thing to do is to provide everyone in the world the opportunity to live in peace, live as they want within the law, and to have freedom of religion. Those who decline this offer should be dealt with harshly.

through reason, get them out of the religion. muslims are not the only terrorists. you should read the book "the end of faith" by sam harris, it explains why religion is destroying and will destroy the world if reason is not given a chance.

I completely agree that all persons who think God told them to do whatever evil they like to commit are dangerous. I completely agree that there are people of all major religions with this problem of thinking God sanctions whatever evil they prefer.

FIrst thing is we need to wipe out the notion that Islam is a peaceful religion. I hear all the time that they are so peaceful, but there are only a few who hijacked their religion. Well, lets go country by country and see how much that is true. Palastine-they elected by a majority of votes Ahmas a terrorist organization to be their elected officials. Saudi Arabia- if it wasn't for an absolute monarchy, the majority of the Saudi's would elect a Taliban style government. Afghanistan-if it wasn't for NATO troops it would still be ruled by the Taliban. Egypt-if it wasn't for a dictator it would have a Taliban style of government. Pakistan-if it wasn't for a dictator it would have a Taliban style of government. I say all of that to say this Majority of Muslims that aren't wealthy and that don't live a western culture lifestyle would love nothing better than to see people like Bin Ladin and other terrorist win. Terrorist have the backing of the common person on the streets. Why do you think they are so successful? Muslims that are wealthy, successful, and more educated like what you find in Turkey, Kuatar, and Dubai are very secular because they want to fit in with the western culture. To fix the common man on the streets in any Middle Eastern country you have to change an entire mind set of those countries. Saudi Arabia, the royal family ownes every oil field and every oil refinery in Saudi Arabia. This makes them extremely rich, but this puts the only thing that can make a Saudi wealthy out of the hands of anyone who is a commoner. The Saudi royal family is extremly close to the western world, but miles away from their own people. So this causes hatred towards the U.S. because we are viewed as the backers of the royal family.

You make a lot of good points. One of the things I would point out is that if the west did not buy the oil, the middle east would still be populated only by aboriginal nomads without modern medicine, homes, automobiles or anything else taken for granted. The people of the middle east hating the west has a lot in common with biting the hand that feeds you. Even still, there is their side to the discussion. Nothing is simple.
