President Bush did the right thing in commuting the sentence of Scooter Libby. I wish he would have put a full pardon on the table and told the Special Procsecuter that he would give it to Mr. Libby unless he could prove that a crime was committed by outing Plaine and to procscute the admitted leaker. Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are upset that President Bush commuted Libby's jail sentence. Funny I did not hear any complaints when Presid4ent Clinton gave full pardons to real criminals once they hired his brother and brother-in-law for hugh legal fees. Maybe when a good man doest the right thing for a friend they don't understand why anyone would do that when they could make a fortune selling the pardons as a corrupt person would do. Bird of a feather stick together.

isnt this just the way the world works, those in power look after their own, those at the bottom get sent to war, suffer the burden of taxes, struggle to get by etc.

In the USA the Military is made up of mainly middle class with better than average education who volunteered. The last time the US sent the poor and unwilling to war was Veit Nam under President Johnson (D). In the US 80% fo the taxes are paid by the top 10% (IRS Data) of the tax payers. Life is a struggle, but in America you can work you way up the ladder. Look at the number of Immigrants - Legal and Illeagal - who want ot come to this country to get a better life.
