would you rather blow your nose so hard or cough like thunder??

say youre in a public place and you have colds and coughs, and your throat is itching and your nose is loaded, there are lots of people that would hear and notice you once you make a sound, would you rather blow your nose or cough like thunder?? ^__^;;

Definitely blow my nose. People think if
you're coughing they'll catch what you got.
Blowing your nose is pretty common. Unless
you're sneezing with it then you could just
be clearing your nose for all they know.

Oh OK, now I see. That would be pretty
nasty to see. Good thing we got things
like tissues and handkerchiefs. Funny
thing about blowing noses.
When I was between about 9-12 I had
allergies that were pretty bad. It
wasn't the you-know-what that was the
problem. To much of that but I blew
so much that occasionally I would make
my nose bleed. Ugh I hated that but I
grew out of that period at about 12.

so you had allergies when you were young? what were you allergic from? i have allergies, food allergies. it sucks.

well thats true, i too am sensitive of people coughing everywhere coz i feel i might catch whatever they have. ^__^;; but i wasnt talking about ordinary blowing of noses. its like blowing so hard that 1 gram of you-know-what might come out of it. LOL ew. ^__^;;

I would hate to have to do either in public. I'd rather be able to go to a restroom and blow my nose. I guess if I have to choose, it'll be cough.

LOL both are really gross and it happened to me before. I had to go to the office even if I was sick.

tough question! well i'd rather go for blowing up my nose than coughing loud out like a dog yucky! can't stand hearing phlegm. Its more acceptable to hear people blow up their nose than coughing. =D

I never get colds, but I have allergies that sometimes bother me. I almost never blow my nose since it always feels as if stuff is being driven up in behind my eardrums through the Eustachian tubes. So I guess I would choose to cough which would more likely come about for me if I swallowed something down the wrong pipe than from a cold or something.

I have allergies too! and its really annoying during attacks coz I sneeze like every minute so I have to have a roll of tissue nearby. plus, my eyes get all watery and teary-eyed as if I've just gone from crying. I hate it when it happens. its a pain.

well this are example of an unavoidable circumstanes. i will blow my nose or cough like thunder but will say EXCUSE ME and of course cover my nose if i blow my nose and cover my mouth if i cough.

Both are very embarrassing but I think I'd rather cough than blow my nose lol.. Coz everyone coughs once in a while and there's bound to be someone who would cough louder than you do!

hahaha! yah, both are very embarrassing. i've experienced both. ^__^;; when I coughed like thunder, a friend said there was like a dog barking. LOL when I blew so hard, people looked at me like "ew". LOL I hate havin colds. I'm able to use a roll of tissue in a day! but I think i'd rather blow my nose than cough like thunder...or a dog. hahaha! ^__^;;

My whole family even my bf cough and blow our noses very hard. Otherwise, we will feel terrible and uncomfortable all over. Surely, in a public place, if we can help it, we will try to keep it down but normally, we stay home and get rid of the germs before going out to avoid embarrassment. Some things just can't be helped...

I pick cough like thunder.
There's something about coughing that seems less disgusting and rude than blowing your nose. And sometimes I have to blow my nose and even though I know it won't be very loud, I still feel awkward. I couldn't imagine how awkward I'd feel if it would be as loud as thunder
