In our family, we are trained to hand wash our own clothes. There are men who don't know how to wash their clothes, but me, i learned it by watching other people do it. During my school days, we are wearing white polo shirts, i really learned to wash my shirt and make it as white as possible. I use whitening agent and even put it under the sun for a few hours to make it even whiter. Now a days, there are lots of laundry shops around, and most people used their services. But for me, i still stick on hand washing my own and personal clothes. Although sometimes, if i really don't have time, i handed it to these shops. I had a bad experience with laundry shop before. Instead of cleaning my clothes, they stained it and they did not even admit that there the one's who did it. Even my newly bought clothes, after handing it to them, the color faded already. Probably, they put too much or a strong detergent or cleaning agent to the clothes. So, although sometimes i use a washing machine, mostly, i really hand washed my clothes, especially the personal ones. Happy washing! :)

I handwash my undies and other small items, and delicate clothes. I use a special soap (not bath soap) for handwashing. I also handwash clothes which have stains to be sure they are removed.

we ladies cant sometime avoid having our undies stained (if you know what i mean :) ) a friend told me using bath soap would easily take off the stain and it really did. so from that moment on i always use bath soap. :)

No I don't handwash any of my clothes. It would be too much work for me to do, even though some of the labels on my clothes call for them to be handwashed.

Good for you, I have no other choice to hand wash my clothes since I dont have a washing machine to the job for me. The hardest part is washing bed sheets and pants, wow, its really a back paining expereince. Sometimes I soak it with detergent powder first before I wash it so that I would not it hard to remove the stubborn dirt. It makes it more easier that way and its also time saving.

I usually do those in the gentle cycle. Some of them I let air dry. I find that if I hand wash them sometimes they are not as soft.

I use a mild dishwashing soap for my bras and my handwashables that have to be hung to dry. I have a delicate setting on my machine for undies and other delicates and I used that for stuff that does not have to be hung to dry if the directions say I can wash it in the machine. I wash in cold water, so there is not a problem of shrinkage and if I can wash in the machine, but hang dry, I usually take it out before putting it in the dryer.

to be honest with you, because I do not have money to buy a washing machine,so I wash all the clothes with my hands.it does hurt to my hands but I do not have other good methods.I can only use my hands to wash my clothes.

Eversince I learn to wash clothes myself , I do it using my hands. I tend to clean it more thoroughly. I am not contented with washing machine . But this is only for my underwear. Its personal so it not for washing machine.

I never knew women did this till last year. I was watching a show for a few mins, when there was a few ladies having a conversation, and she mentioned that she might be old fashion, but she wanted her panties in the sink everynight. I was like.. huh..

Yeah same here, I do that too. The main reason is not because of being old-fashioned. It's more because these things needs that 'extra care'. The fabrics are not as tough as the briefs men have. Plus too much wrinkling may cause the bands to go loose. And of course, women release some liquid stuff that stains unless you take good care of your undies. *LOL* You'll know what I mean if you are a woman. That's why you'll see that the neatest type of women wear only white and light colors, while the not-so-neat would rather have black or dark tones (no offense to those who wear one due to the fact that they think it's sexy).
