Do you blog? Which site do you use/prefer? What are the advantages and drawbacks to the different sites (example blogger vs. livejournal)? I am trying to decide where I would like to start my blog this week. Thanks!

I've used Blogger/Blogspot, Wordpress, and Livejournal for the past four years since I've started blogging. Blogger's very easy to use, has a slight learning curve, but for those who aren't really into coding and the like, they should try blogspot out first to get a feel of things. Blogspot allows some customisation, but as to how much I'm not sure as it's been a long time since I've used my blogspot account. The biggest benefit of livejournal is the community. If you have friends who are on livejournal, it will let you see their entries from your own friends' page. Navigation-wise, LJ has a pretty steep learning curve, which is why I don't recommend it to anyone who just wants to get in, dump a template and go. Wordpress is my favourite of the lot, and if you're planning on getting your own domain, give wordpress.com a go. I love Wordpress for their categories function (they were the first people to come up with that system, I believe) and it's very easy to use. However, the wordpress.com version is limited in terms of themes and you can't add in any of the nifty plugins you will see on the wordpress.org version. It depends on your needs and wants. WP also has a pretty good spam filter, which I use regularly. They also come with an inbuilt stats counter if that's what you're looking for. I hope this helps!
