Friends on MyLot

When I first joined MyLot, I wondered how in the world would I ever be able to remember all the names of people who requested to be added to my friends list. Strangely though, I have had no problem remembering-even though I've always been terrible with names. I think it might be due to the fact that I don't usually have a clear picture of what each person looks like to distract me. I can usually remember faces very well. Well, now it turns out that I can also remember names much better than I ever imagined I could. Have you had this experience?

I felt the same honey - so overwhelmed - there were so many people and so many avatars , I had never been on a discussion forum before and was so scared I would never remember anyone or get to know what the like and where they were! It is surprising how much you remember about people and it is a lovely feeling when people remember things about you! xxx

You are right, mummymo. There are usually little things in their profiles that will help you to remember. Also, I find it easier to remember the ones who post the most.

They can't fool me if they change their avatar, naty. As a matter of fact, I recently changed mine back to the original one I had before coming to MyLot. I think that when I read their profile page it gives me a picture of them which I keep in my mind.

In my case, mylot friends, who have made known their real names to me...I remember their real names of all my dear friends here by heart....
you would agree with me that when you like someone...you also tend to remember their attributes, names and characters etc.

The names I can sort of remember especially those who are active but its the avatars that I can't keep up with.

true! its really hrad to remember your freinds name here in mylot.I just can recognize them very well if they often respond to my discusions and also those friends who give me a best response,but ofcourse all of them are appreciated for contributing nice discussions.

I would suggest, ydnac, that you go to the person's profile page if you can't remember who they are. I have done this a few times and it helps me to keep everyone straight.

I usually have no problem remembering peoples faces, maybe as I'm a very visual person, but can sure have a heck of a time remembering names, but like you I seem to remember the names of fellow MyLotter, and there avatars as well....that helps in many ways...especially when one changes their avatar lots of times...noticed you changed yours...hehhe

Worldwise I normally remember members by their names.Sometimes they switch avatars up so i normally remember their names especially if they are very active.You had a different avatar before.So I do remember avatars as well.

I have normally not had any problems remembering the names of people. Since, you have only the text to link to the pictures and the names of people, maybe that has helped you to remember them easily.
