What about mother-in-laws ?

I have usually read that there is a lot of unhappiness between the mother-in-law and the daughter-in-law. Why does this happen ? Is it due to the fact that the love of the son is now divided ?Do these women not realise that they too were someones daughter-in-laws. I believe that if your mother in law is good to you, you too become a good mother in law. I have the most wonderful mother in law, maybe because i never saw her as an in-law. I tried to be a daughter to her,got her to do all the things i would expect from my mom, and thus decreased the distance between us. I love her so.

Im not too sure why they act like that, but like you said maybe its taking their little boys away from them, mothers get very attached to their sons just like fathers are protective over their daughters. Me and my mother in law did not get along so great when we first met, but after a year or so we learned to tolerate each other and now several years later we get along, we found out we have some things in common.

I agree with you here. I have a pretty great mother in law. We live far apart, but when we are together I work hard to build a relationship with her. She is, afterall, the mother of the man I love..... she's got to be pretty wonderful on at least some levels. Welcome, ketybhagat. I hope you enjoy it here at myLot. There are some wonderful people to get to know and learn from. It is a little overwhelming at first. I recommend reading over the guidelines very well, then as you are looking around on the site things will begin to make more sense. There are a few things you can do to try and increase your earnings. First, you really want to concentrate on quality, detailed discussions or responses~ avoid one liners. You can earn a little extra by unloading photos that tie in to your discussions.
