Do any of you have tips on selling Avon? My sister joined recently, and I am helping her with it. If you have any ideas about getting new customers, I would be very grateful!

I think the best way to sell a product is you must know how to sales talk. At the same time you must know the product very well or you are currenlty using the product to testify its quality.

My aunt use to sell Avon a couple years ago. She also worked at the local grocery store, so she had parties almost every weekend! I'd recommend doing just that... I'm sure you've already asked all your friends to book parties, they don't always come through! Just go to your local stores that have beauty sections... and make chat saying that you don't know what to buy because you can't try it first. Then mention that you love Avon now, but no one has had a party lately, mention your sister sells and then just give them the card. You can say if they are not interested, please give it to a friend! Just hand them out when ending a conversation! Leave it under a tip when you go out to eat! Another cheap idea is to make flyer's with your home printer or local kinkos! They don't have to be in color. Then go to day cares, playgrounds, doctors offices, anywhere women congregate! Us moms always need time away from home! I know I wouldn't pass it up! Good Luck! http://www.clixsense.com/?2155049

I sell avon and to be honest not doing to well myself, although my sales are strickly online due to me not being to get out and have home parties, etc. The only problem about avon, is everyone knows about and all of people already have there own avon person, so it may be hard to find new customers that don't. I would suggest having avon parties to where people can test the products and word of mouth is always good, always have catalogs with you and if you go to the doctor office, see if you can leave a few, beauty salons are good also. Anywhere you think that you can leave them do so, but always ask permission first. Put put up flyers around town and have the best sellers on there like the anew products, those are usually good sellers. I wish you luck!

Hey, I was just wondering how you are doing with Avon? I know about 4 people that sell Avon and someone else that is thinking about doing it. We also have an Avon store (within 10 miles of all the people I know who are reps). I honestly don't know how they can make any money being a rep with competition like that. I don't wear very much makeup so I don't buy the stuff, but I do know that it's hard to get into if you are in the same area as someone else. Everyone already has a rep and they don't usually want to switch. I hope that it has gone well for your sister - it's a very well-known name so you definitely have that on your side! If you've found it's not working well for you, PM me and we can talk about what my husband and I are doing. It's been working out great for us and might be something for you and/or your sister also. Best of luck to you!!!
