Global warming thermal scan. - Immediate need of a repair.
Hi betshopboy, i am all for environmental protection at any kind of level. I personally try to buy things with less packaging, sort my rubbish before throwing them, etc.. Live earth is a good event to reach out to billions of people worldwide and increase their awareness as our planet is in dire need of help. However, as i've said in my last discussion, running the show 24 hours across 7 continents is a waste of resources. Money from those events should be channeled to better usage for the environment.

Yes i agree with you, the cause is a noble one, but the execution of it is a doubt. There are simply too much wasted resources, not only in money which could be channelled to greater use, but think of the amount of electricity needed to run 7 large scale live shows, as well as billions of households turning on their TV sets to watch it. Anyway, the event is just another movement to promote the awareness of our climate in crisis, it is not the solution, and definitely not the end of many such events in years to come.

Where's my snow ?????? - Due to global warming, the polar ice caps are melting away. Where does the water go?
Thank you for the best response. Have a look at my Live Earth discussion and see if you do have anything to contribute. There's just too much to do. - Lyn
