What condition are your feet in?

Our Feet - Do you treat them well?

Especially with summer here and I wear sandals a lot I like to make sure my feet look good! Not that I neglect them in the winter because there's not much I dislike more than having rough feet. I try to do the whole thing from soaking to sloughing. If I have time and the inclination I'll give myself a good pedicure including nail polish or a french manicure which I think looks awesome. What shape are your feet in? Do you have callouses or corns or both? Do you put lotions on them to make them soft or do you totally ignore your feet no matter what season it is?

I go barefoot and sandled alot. As a result my feet revolt when I do introduce them to "real" shoes. I am prone to calluses and rough, dry skin . I soak my feet regularly. For calluses, I rub in vics vaporub and wrap in ducttape overnite and it works like magic! It is better than any over the counter foot remedy you can buy and much cheaper!

Ductape? What's wrong with just socks? That sounds like a drastic thing to do but if it works for you and it doesn't bother you that's great. I've never heard of the vicks vaporub either but I might try it.

there is something in the ducttape that works with something in the vicks vaporub. I do put on white socks and keep this on overnite....it does work. the vicks vaporub works pretty well on it's own but combine it with the ducttape and its like magic...i swear.

I could definitely use a pedicure, especially after the rough treatment I put my poor feet through this past year! Being a mom doesn't allow me much time for pampering beauty treatments, and I'm fresh out of foot lotions. However, I've heard that Vaseline is a very good moisturizing treatment. Just slather the stuff onto your aching feet and then cover with cotton socks just before going to bed. I've tried it once and it really does work. However my beat beauty secret for super soft feet is to mix one cup of Epsom salts and black tea with a big of water and scrub feet until pink and shiny. You could also use baking soda/water for an exfoliating foot paste. Best of luck getting your feet into beach weather shape!

Lots of lotions - Cheap lotions work.
Besides using the vaseline which I hear works great you could go to the dollar stores and buy a huge bottle of any kind of lotion and cover your feet in it and then the sock. It works great and is cheap!

Well, my feet are always swollen, so I have to always find sandals that fit my feet. Other than that, I only have one moldy toe nail, which I get clipped by the foot doctor. I put lotion on my feet, every day, after I take a shower, so they feel nice and soft.

Zori sandals - Only the tops show!
I love wearing sandals in the summer and it's soooo good that the tops of my feet look good at least.

body lotions - cheapest I can buy.
To be honest I use the cheapest lotions I can get in the dollar stores and cover meet with it then put on socks. I can't see spending a lot of money when the cheap stuff works just as well.

I try and keep my feet in good condition, but I appear to have dry heels constantly, no matter what I do. I hate it, I think it looks disgusting. There is only one thing that ever worked, Australian heel balm, but at £8 a tube I can't really afford it at the moment, and also I am very forgetful so I do forget most days to put it on when I do have it. It is one of those creams that won't work unless you do it daily. In the meantime, I soak my feet when I can, and I put lotion on them most days. I have a foot tattoo so I like to take care of my feet so I can show it off! x

Dollar Signs - Money we can't afford.
Sometimes it seems we find the most expensive lotions are the ones that help the most. It's sad that we can't afford them most of the time.

i don't really look at season before taking care of my feet. everyday when i'm taking my bath i make sure i give them a scrub and trim my nails as well when they are grown. for my feet i don't want them to have any disease infected. so every morning i take my bath before the day's job.

So many people don't realize that there are disease we can get from not paying attention to our feet. I also take care of my feet throughout the year getting them ready for the summer weather.

I keep them soft with lotion and soaking. I don't polish my nails. I let my girls do it for me so it's not uncommon for me to have mulitcolor nails. I like it, it's my girls art work, LOL.

Sadly, my feet are rough despite all that I do to try and soften them. EAch night, in the shower, I use a pumice stone. I put moisturizing foot cream on them after the shower and then socks. They are still dry and have rough areas on the heels and ball of the foot. I keep my nails trimmed and polished. Thankfully I do not have any corns aor calluses. I just wish that I could get the rough heels and balls to go away. I have a profession that keeps me on my feet a lot, so I don't know that I will ever have really pretty feet!

That's probably one of the "hazards" of nursing. Being on our feet constantly tends to make them very rough no matter what we do.

I teach so I am on my feet a lot. I abuse my poor feet. They are dry and have callouses. I try to keep them in decent shape by using Udder Cream which really seems to help.

Well...my feet are not in very good condition. I have been training for a marathon and the running has taken its toll on my feet. They are full of blisters and callouses. Not to mention that every nail on my toes has fallen off from the impact of the running. :( cheers,

Runners are sure to have bad feet! It must be very uncomfortable running when they have blisters and callouses. I have to give you credit for training for a marathon with bad feet.
