Demons or Mental disease

Is it possible that some mental diseases are actually demons? I have friend that talks to her demon. The demon has a name and keeps her well informed of the family's behaviors. Although she has been misinformed she reacts to people based on what the demon has told her. She is now in a mental institution. But does she really need Prozac or an exorcist?

My sister has had many such experiences, but now that she is a JW, they tell her that they were all demons. (Simply surpressing her sixth sense.) We all have the power to see with our sixth sense. Fear keeps us from doing it. Now how each of us will handle these experiences will lead most to believe that we are mentally ill. It takes a strong person to deal with the paranormal experiences and not go crazy.

A JW is a common abbreviation for Jehovah's Witness.

People suffer from mental disease because of some reason, it could be hereditary, biological, environmental stressors. some people when confronted with problems, they cannot cope up its either because they have or don't really have coping mechanism. If you have problems and you think you can't handle them , it is best if you talk to your family, friends or better yet to a psychiatrist. Failure to resolve theses stressors will sometimes result to mental health problems.

I would say Prozac. There are no such things as demons --- there are, however, evil, wicked people who would love nothing better than to destroy others and everything around them. God loves all of us too much to create demons, in spite of what the churches would like us to believe. There is no such being as a cranky, vengeful god. It is impossible to assign human attributes such as hate and crankiness to a Perfect Being/Love. Worshipping such a "being" is just worshipping a false god.

Hello sahm35, Before assessing either an excorcist or prozac to the case as a method of resolution, facts must be made clear. Where does she live? What does her own cultural belief say about 'angels & demons'? How does she feel about that belief? Demons are manifestations of an evil intent housed in a subtle manner, f a form we can see or sense. The energy is probably more negative and the intent a living person feels from this entity is threat; however, there is a fine line between 'demonic possession and multiple personality syndrome'. One is of the paranormal base the other from a psychological base. I myself as a non-licensed psychologist specializing in transpersonal studies, Edgar Cayce and some Caycian theories, I do not believe Prozac is the answer. That numbs or deadens the necessary pathway leading to how this 'voice came about' . . . I would be very interested to keep talking to you about this. Perhaps you could message me here or keep going with this thread. sharing the light, Erica http://www.enlightenment-psych.net/ericasprofile.htm

yes, my ex wife was possessed by more then one demon..maybe legion? but she was the devils sister i believe..she has been married six times and everytime she marries..the man life turns sour..until he gets rid of her..then he returns to normalcy..my current wife is not possessed (that I know of) as we have been married 22 years and she is frugal with money, no drinking problems, no addictions to vices..so she is a keeper...but my first wife was pretty and smart..but she had so many devils eating her sould that she could not live with herself or anyone else. it was very odd as her three brother were very religious and her parents were very nice..but I could not get along with their daughter...go figure? she went into the mental hospital but unless a person wants to change and take medecine like Prozac..then you are fighting a lossing battle..she also was cross addicted and co-dependant..if that helps..maybe she did need an exorcist?

I've read in various places that people were able to see and hear things when they are children. These are what parents call "Imaginative Friends." I've read that as we get older, we disregard these "friends" because we are taught it's all in our imagination, so we forget how to see and experience them. So, it is possible your friend is seeing a real demon. Then again, it can also be a mental disorder. It is really hard to say when I haven't met that friend of yours, you know? I believe it could be either.

no. she obviously suffers from some mental disorder..schizophrenia or something like that. i have 2 reasons for this opinion (lol) #1 i dont believe in god or the devil, so therefore i dont believe in demons (as termed in being one of the devils minions) #2 from everything ive read/heard and even documentaries ive seen (im not counting movies) a "demon" that is "possessing" someone doesnt just do so in order to talk gossip and rumors about family or friends. thats just silly. they possess a person to inflict harm, not further the rumor mill. it sounds like your friend is in the best place for her to find the help she needs.

It could be one or the other. That is where discernment comes in. I am talking to someone who hears and sees demons and angels, and unless there is discernment, someone would think she is crazy, but I don't believe she is for a couple of reasons. 1. She has been involved in a cult. 2. She gets headaches whenever we talk about G♥d or the Bible. Unfortunately, it is also very hard to find someone who is trustworthy to help someone like that, because the church has done some REALLY bad things over the years. The church that did that was not following what Y'shua would do. There is a remnant that try to follow what is right and to help those in need..I would pray for clarity for your friend and for the right treatment for her.
