The megamillion lottery is 127 million dollars - Is it wrong to pray to God that you win? One friend says yes, very much so, because it is a selfish prayer and it is materialistic. So, does your God NOT want you to be physically happy and healthy? Is it un-Christian to eat in the finest restaurants and travel first class? Someone else suggested that if you did pray for it and win, you'd have to give it all to charity because the Bible says that a rich man cannot enter into heaven (something about a camel and the eye of a needle!) Well, what if you did charitable works but also sent your child to Harvard - would that be okay with God? I mean, how poor do the pious have to be? Then, of course, in every conversation about spirituality and money someone MUST misquote "money is the root of all evil." No, I say, the quote is more like "for the LOVE of money is the root of all evil" - I may not love money but I sure like the difference that it makes in my life! So, what about it? Do you have to suffer and be poor in order to be a good christian?

I never heard that and I'm in a church. It's up to God himself to decide on who goes to heaven and who doesn't. If you stay humble about it, I'm sure there won't be a problem. I really don't think praying for soemthing like that is wrong at all but that's just me. I don't believe that you have to be poor to be a good christian. I really can't find something like that in the bible to tell you the honest truth.

you know...if you will have everything in life..what will you ask to God??? you know what is your purpose in life??? If you are a follower to God,you should carry your load or burdens...i know that God will help you for that!!!what is your motive?? why do you want to win??? examine yourself...ask yourself...i think you better read the Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren...God bless u!
