My wife works in a Middle eastern restaraunt. It's called the Java & the owner is from Egypt. We have know him and his family since 1983. My wife has worked there this long. Yes all at the same restaraunt as a waitress/managaer. etc. Anyhow he returns to his home toen of ElMansura Egypt every September. He always brings back things made in Egypt to sell at the restaraunt. Attatched is a photo of a set of pyramids made in Egypt of brass and copper. They are a neat little knick-knack. We have some copper plates from Egypt. Just wanted to share this is all as I am bored to death here. Too hot to drive all the way up north to the casino so I am going to a smaller one nearer to my house soon. Have a great day/evening all. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I hope you found lady luck at the casino. The pyramids are spectacular. The detail is absolutely amazing. You seem to enjoy snapping pictures. I love seeing them all. It is interesting to see new things and learn from them. One of the main reasons I so enjoy Mylot. Again, thanks for sharing with us.

Anything you have to post is usually of great intrest, I think those are very pretty and could be great for a collector, so the weather there is hot also, i see it in so many places way over 100, here in Ohio we are at 90 and that is enough for me.I had not seen you here earlier so I thought you had gone on your trip, but maby it will work out for you just as well at a closer one good luck and bet that 7-7-7.

Art Work - Made in Egypt with home made paper and inks
Here's some art work they also sell that's made in Egypt. This is painted on a piece of paper cloth of some sort. I think it's called papyrus paper or something along those lines. they make the paper then make the paints from various seeds and fruits. I am leaving for Mystci Lake Casino in about an hour and a half from now. Hee hee. It's 96 right now here. Ther air temp is at 100 degrees also. very hot and humid. Stand outside on the pavement is unbearable even. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I'm always fascinated by stories about Egypt and ancient times. I would love to go to Egypt and look at those lovely pyramids. Nothing can compare to the real thing I'm sure. One day If I have the budget I would visit Egypt....

It is a costly vacation to say the least. A flight from Minneapolis Minnesota is usually around $5,000. No way I can afford that. Her boss has a house and car we can use if we go. So that ends covered. But 10 grand is a lot. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

So I'm not the only one here being struck by the boredom bug. lol I decided to mop my floor today. I hate mopping it so tells ya just how bored I am. Anyways, when I first glanced at your pic of the pyramids, I thought they were 3 bonfires in a row out on your farm. lol On closer inspection and thanks to your description, I can now see that they aren't bonfires. They are beautiful pyramids, Grandpa Bob. Whoever made them has a way with art.

I commented on the previous pic about the fine details. Thanks for the close up of one of the pyramids. It's gotta be well over 100 here with the humidity. Going to go out and enjoy my pool in bout an hour. Good luck at the slots and keep cool, Grandpa Bob.

I use to work for a guy from India. He went home 2-3 times a year too. Every time he would bring back something for me. Also, every time that I bought a new shirt, he would say that he liked it & ask me to pick up one for his wife who was still in India. So when she finally did come over with him, I thought it'd be cool to meet her. seeing as I had bought around 50 shirts for her. (of course, he paid me back for them) But still. She didn't know any english so I couldn't even talk to her. Bummer. Ok, getting off track. Sorry. Cool that he brings things back.

I've always been fascinated by pyramids webeishere. Those are truly beautiful. Someone put a lot of time and effort into their design. How lucky your wife's employer is to be able to find such original things to bring back to the US. I have heard often that pyramids are lucky and carry some kind of power, also brass and copper have some desirable qualities.

Thanks Grandpa Bod. I like to see things about Egypt and the pyramids. These pictures you showed looked wonderful. I wished I knew how they could have built these structures ? Thousands of years ago...must have been amazing as I think they did the biggest one in 20 or thirty years? well i heard that somewhere..is that true? Maybe because they did not have a labor union? lol
