Hi everyone, I just bought a new IBM laptop and it's installed with Vista System, I tried to format one of the harddisk drives to FAT 32 format and it always got a blue screen problem, when I change the harddisk drive to NTFS format the problem gone. Could anyone tell me why this problem occured when I have a FAT 32 format harddisk drive?

Maybe it's not compatibile with Vista. The only thing I could possibly suggest is to check with IBM on the issue and see if they can do anything to help you out. That's probably the best possible method to use.

well, i'm not a computer freek. but i guess that fat32 isn't compatible in vista or maybe you need to seek help from the experts for your IMB to work properly and not to have any more problems.

fat32 works fine with vista the drive may be showing signs of failure i would suggest backing it up and running diagnostics tools
