Do you note down all your passwords in a diary?

Many of you must be using different passwords, for the security reasons. Its good to use different and lengthy passwords in different arena. Its always advisable to use more than one password as we won't be losing all our accounts if we are hacked. How do you manage all those passwords? I personally have been using 7-8 different kinds of usernames and passwords. Just to be on the safer side, i've written down all those usernames and passwords in a secret diary. I'll not take that diary anywhere. It is stored in a safe place. How about you? Do you completely trust your memory?

I trust my memory. I don't really note down my username and password in a diary. Usually I use the username and password that I can easily remember so that I won't forget. But I think you idea is great in case that we should forget and get it back. I am for your idea completely.

First even if I know is wrong I don't use many passwords and specially at earning onliness sites.I use few for my accounts ,just all. second I'm not good at keeping somewhere the passwords and when I did the most of the times I forget where is the notebook,if I add there and not to a simple paper,so I just prefer give to my brother.He keeps everything at the right place and I can say that except many other things he is my back up lol;

I have just few passwords and have a good memory, but i keep them too-for more security, everything happens.I have written them in a notebook, but i never write them at the HDD of the computer.I dont plan to make the life of the hackers easier.

we're alike........i also don't save it on the hard disk or any other storage devices. I too don't forget my passwords, but i don't wish to take even 0.1% risk in this regard.

for me my mind is the diary for my important passwords!:)usually i use a certain sets of user IDs and passwords so it makes it easier for me to remember them.if i'm registering on an important site then i just make something like a combination to make it different. it's like one letter here one letter there or one number here and another number there(hope u r getting me lol). i think it's dangerous to write them down because you never know that if someone else gets hold of it somehow. so naturally i have to trust my memory!:)

Well my friend I used to use the same password everywhere as I have a terrible memory, that was until I had my messenger got hacked! Luckily nothing else was affected but since then I have started doing the same as you - better safe than sorry! xx

I have a couple I use and keep a notebook of all the sites I join along with username and passwords. It can get confusing sometimes in what username I used along with what password I used also. I use to use the same username and password on anything I joined, but here lately been making some changes for security purposes.

I have a small book, with alphabetical tabs and I have put all of the user names and passwords for each thing I have signed up for. Even if I only visit once or twice, then decide it is not for me, I write down the password, in case I change my mind later.

Because I work at a bank, I have many passwords for both home and work that I have to remember. That makes things really complicated sometimes. =P I have a very complicated password system worked out actually. I have pieces of different words and numbers that I use together, in different combinations and orders. So my notes on what these passwords are make no sense to anyone but me, because they don't contain the entire password, just references to the pieces. I do keep these notes in a couple of different places, so that I have a backup copy if I need it. My username is the same pretty much everywhere I go online, because it has a very specific personal meaning to me, so I don't have to worry so much about remembering that one.

No,I don't trust my memory at all,lol. I change my passwords to everything at the end of each month. I write them down in a little notebook I have but I don't say what they are in case anyone were to get a hold it.

I keep a small notebook where I keep all my user names and passwords. I read once that it is important to change your passwords regularly, so I tend to do this for security. It is also important to keep your virus and firewall software up to date. :-)

well, normally i use the same passwords for sites when i join in. But i guess your way of write down your different passwords it´s a much better way to do than my way of using the same password for every sites i´m a member of. But well, when (if) i´ll have some problem i´ll change all the passwords then (but i´m hoping not)

I never writes down passwords in a book or diary.Incase I loose that book and if I became unaware of that fact,then in no matter the other guy will utilize the maximum of it.I use only 2-3 passwords for most of the mail ids and other programmes Im in.So its kind of easy to remember also.

Hi, I normally write it down in an excel book. That book is password protected. I use easy to remember password for my excel book. In this way I have only one password to remember. In normal case I do not forget but when I forget it really proves helpful.

well i dont use different passwords... to make it easier for me to remember i just add digits to it so that its easy for me to remember, ... all of my passwords are same to each other, i know that passwords should be in huge length to protect your account but i just cant remember all passwords and as for writing in a diary i m scared some1 might view them so i just use simple passwords.

Yea I keep a folder of papers filled with passwords and screennames. I think it is really smart to always use different ones for every website you go to
