To be entirely honest here, I don't know why I use one and not the other. In fact, I don't any preference between both of them. I myself use Intel probably because it is more popular and comes with more computers. I know however, some people here might not agree with the statement I have just mentioned.

I were to choose between the two, currently i would choose a cheaper intel Core 2 Duo and overclock it to the extreme and then have the performance of a high end machine..... I would say that at the present situation after the huge price cuts from both intel and AMD camps this year the entire processor market is going great and the winner is obviously the customers..... I think if a user is more budget oriented, then the AMD is processor is the best one for him as it has great motherboards for less prices and the integrated graphics is also better.... However if a user is performance oriented, then i would suggest the Core 2 Duo from Intel as it has higher performance and lower heat/power margins......

i use INTEL which came with my system(default configuration) meanwhile i don know much abt the differences btwn the 2, but when i enquired with friends at differnt levels they meant the same thing that INTEL s good for games as well as running other programs at their ease.. whereas AMD s not good for games....but works well for other programs than INTEL... yet to try AMD

I also use Intel P III 45O Mhz Processor in my computer that is desktop of HP Vectra VL. Intel is the best and has conquered the whole world's market because of its efficiency and long time working stability. AMD is slow and if you use it for 2 or more hours in summer, it automatically shuts down.

I like Intel Duel Core 2 processor, with 512 RAM & I am using it. My processor has many features like multi tasking, multi threading, multi networking, & suit for all environments. I like Intel processor because its cover almost all features which is not cover by AMD. I heard AMD need cooling atmosphere. But its not the case in Intel processor.

I use an Intel for seven years now, it is still going strong. This is why I want an Intel again. AMD was cheaper. My friends have AMD and say they have gotten better, the AMDs do not break so easyly any more. They insist both are of the same quality these days. I still would rather have an Intel inside.
