Have you ever felt that you need a break, a weekend vacation, a relaxing massage, a day at the beach with your friends and grilled burgers? I have, sometimes i want to just wake up one morning at the beach, all calm and peaceful..with no traffic, no pollution, no buildings, no computers, just me and the sound of the seagulls and the waves..and of course my mom and boyfriend cooking fish..heaven..

Yes actually I do, I mean time away from everyone and everything.. I think everyone just needs a day or two to relax think and have time for themselves, something i haven't had in over 8 years, well it's not like i am old or anything like that. so i should be able to handle all the little things that happen, but a time or two would be nice.

Yes, I sometimes feel that I need a break. I love to go out for a long walk with my dogs to an area that had outstanding natural beauty. This can be the wild looking coast or the pretty green countryside. I like to chill out with a book in a sunny spot. I delight in going to a quiet island where very little happens. Samoa was like that. I stayed in an open thatched building. I heard the gentle waves crashing against the shore. I felt a refreshing cool breeze touching my skin. It was so calm and peaceful.

Yes, you can't beat nature. I adore hearing waves crash and seeing sea gulls dancing in the sky. I love to see green grass and the seasons changing the appearance of the trees, in spring new growth, in summer full of leaves, autumn golden leaves on the ground and winter no leaves on the tree left. When I first started to travel I didn't know about the wonders of computers. Yes, now I do, it is challenging not to see a computer for a while.

Nature can offer so much, dont you agree? I cant live without my pc though and some music but watching a sunset or the waves crash the shore, it makes me wonder if what they say is true, regarding the best things in life being free..

I always feel that I need a break, lol. My boyfriend and I are going on a 3-day mini-vacation August 31-September 2, so hopefully that will make me feel a little better. But then I start college so that's a whole other story of stress that I will be adding to my life! Lol..

Lucky you, good luck on that vacation. I am envious..ahahaha. College, hmmm..my college days were not so stressful if i compare it to my work schedule..i would definitely prefer to go to school than go to work, those late night parties, group studies, (sighs). Im sure you will enjoy it, you wont need a vacation as much as you need one when you graduate and land a job.. :)

I think the question is really how often do I NOT feel that way. But when I want a break, I want a real break. Not a day or a few hours. I want to be on vacation where no one can reach me. No internet to bother me. No phone calls. No work. And for at least a week.

I feel that way more than not. I am always looking for a day to sneak away to go to the beach. Today was almost one of those days, but then I got a call to babysit a friends child. I should have just packed all the kids and took him too. Oh well, that will just make the next time that much more special.

Oh thats too bad..you should have done that, then the kids would have enjoyed it too. There's always next time and then you can make sure you dont have any babysitting appointments.. :)enjoy..

If I ever felt that? Well, lets' that say that things have gone so almost bad that I feel like running away in a peaceful place every day. No phones, no mails, no stresed up people, no bosses, no nothing. Just me and a warm place to sleep, some Coca Cola and smokes. And not a single human voice. At least 7 days :) All the best http://shtrumph-lianna.blogspot.com

ALL the time!! I have 3 children...a 3 year old and 2 year old twins! I'm a work at home mom so Im always at home with screaming fighting kids! Sometimes I wake up in the morning and think, "i dont even want to deal with anything today"..but I still have to get up and deal with everything! We did have a short vacation at the end of May, a trip to NYC..but it was only for a couple of days. Our first day home and our kids were HORRRRRRIBLE acting! I wanted to go back to NYC lol! I mean i love my kids ofcourse, but they drive me crazy and stress me out so badly some days. We have no one to watch the kids so that i can get out and work out of the house. Thank god they will all be starting headstart soon! woohoo!

In my kind of work I do need a break every now and then. Sometimes I just get burnt out and if I press on I fear that my sanity will collapse. So, I don't just need it, I do get it. We all need a break to unwind and to feel invigorated an ready to start fresh again. The beach is such a perfect place for relaxation and de-stressing. After two days there sitting in the sun, collecting shells, soaking in the brine, and breathing fresh air, all the worries will disappear and you feel that you're ready to face the challenges of life again.

oh yes, about a hundred times a day! I'm a stay at home mom, my days filled with taking care of the children and making sure they're okay. I'm happy with my life but sometimes, you just feel like you need to get away from it all and have some peace and quiet. I know it's still a long time coming since my children are still small, but when they're a bit older I know that we'll have more time for rest and relaxation.

Sure. I was in such a stressful job. Its not the job its the people that is causing unwanted and unnecessary stress. I gave up and I am enjoying my long 1/2 year break. I feel kind of funny not working but my bf is quite happy I'm staying home. I feel as if I became some kind of lazy piggy. I am even lazy to excercise. I just love to sit on my bed and watch drama and play with the internet all day long.

I feel that way quite often, and I try to follow through with at least the day at the beach every once in a while. These breaks are probably the only thing that keeps me from going totally insane sometimes.

hmmmmmmm If that's what you call breaks then I've been on break for 7 yrs. :-D My idea of a long break is camping alongside a river or lake surrounded by nothing but nature. No neighbors or anything. Just complete peace and quiet to do whatever I wanna do when I want.

Ooh..... Wish I could do that? I am a mother of two young children and never have I the luxury now even going for a massage. Wish I could spend a peaceful time by the waterfall, going for spa treatments and be fed with delicious food. No one to disturb you and just be by myself.... Heaven!!

My job is pretty annoying at times... as I work 39.5 hours a week so they won't consider me full time (nor will they allow me to work 40 to become full time. So I work the hours of full-time basically with none of the benefits...not as great pay, no insurance, no sick days, no vacation days... sometimes I wonder myself why I stay and then when I go job hunting and come up empty I'm like "ohhhh that's right". I've been there for 5 years now. The last time I took a vacation was 3 years ago. With the exception of the VERY VERY few days I've taken off for being sick and for car accidents (and i mean VERY few) I haven't taken off in 3 years!!!! almost 3.5 years! So...I'm taking a "Mental health week". A break. A break from work. I have no money to go anywhere so I'm just going to be spending it at home, but I don't need a home break.. I need a work break!
