How to get rid of a cold?

July 9, 2007 2:53pm CST
I've had a blocked-up nose for ages now, it doesn't seem to go away ever. I also keep getting sinuse-ey headaches and feel quite blue most of the time. I don't believe in prescribed medicines as such, so does anyone have any good home remedies that might make me feel better? Anything really, just want to give some new ideas a try! x

I don't know what you consider *ages* to be, but a cold usually runs it's corse in a set time. If it has been going on for more than a week, you may have allergies, & the *blues* could be a lack of oxygen, due to not breathing well. Go to a doctor NOW, to find out what actually is wrong with you.

Ia agree. A cold is actually a good sign. When you are fighting something nasty, a cold is ignored by your body, only when you have nothing to worry about do you have colds blessed be

first are you so sure that it is a cold? i have heard this year is a really bad year for allergies and people that i know that have never had allergies before in their lives are developing them. you should check with your dr. second, there is this stick, its called a migristick (you can buy it at healthfood stores here in north american) its got mint and lavender and it works great on sinuses!!

I once was sick for weeks and my friends husband made me eat a clove of garlic followed by a shot of wild turkey. It cleared everything right up. My uncle also makes a home made cough syrup of whiskey, honey and parsley. It works really well for a sore throat.

well over and above having me come round and rub goose greese in to your chest, i would sugest a bucket full of boiling water with lemon or mint in it. A towel ovwer your head and sit with your head over ther bucket , breathing the fumes works as good as anything else blessed be
