Have you ever been mystery shopping? What are some good companies?

I've used Bestmark and done a few mystery shops for them. They always pay pretty quickly. I live in a small town in North Dakota, so I don't really do it too much anymore. If you live in a more populated area, you can probably get some pretty good ones. We usually just do a Bestmark restaurant mystery shop every 2-3 months. They reimburse you up to a certain amount for your food, and then pay you an additional amount. Basically for my family of 3, we end up getting back just about the entire amount we spent, so we only have to pay the tip out of our pocket. Yeah, there's paperwork involved, but it's worth it for the pretty much free meal.

I'm going to be watching this discussion. I have never been able to find a good mystery shopping company but would love to. Maybe some fellow MyLotters out there will have some good tips for you.

I did pretty good my first time doing it. I just don't like the paper work part of it. I think that is the part that isn't fun. After you do the shopping, you have to fill out a survey of what happened. I am not really a fan of that. I do not remember all the ones that I have worked for but I will look them up and send you the links.

this is something i would love to do. I'm not sure whether i can provide you with any links since we're in different countries, and i don't suppose you'd like to fly over to do some mystery shopping here, unless some large international brand decides to fly you here or fly me to your country. haha. I've heard that a friend's sister did this as a school holiday job. great way to spend the holidays if you ask me!
