I saw the TCM special Spielberg on Spielberg and i started to wonder, what is my favorite of his films? And i don't think I have one.I saw Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Color Purple, Schindler's List, and Munich but I can't call any of them my favorite.I think he the only director that I like but I don't have a favorite. How about you, what is your favorite?

The Jurassic Part. All other films are admirable, but not on the level that i want to watch again, i will watch again, why not but not as much and as many times as i watched jurassic part. Well can you imagine, the effects before is someone crude if you would compare it to effects today, but when Jurassic Park came out, whoaaaa, it blew me away. I mean if a dino didn't exists before, well it does now, in steven spielberg's mind.

I know what you mean. There isn't a Spielberg film that I have seen that I want to see over and over again.Maybe that is why it is hard to choose a favorite.

Hello sararuthbeth22! I haven't seen all of his movies. If I remember correctly, I have only seen Jurasic Park, Godzilla, The lost world, Saving Private Ryan, Catch me if you can, The terminal and The war of the worlds. While I liked almost all of his directions for the details he works on and the effects, I think my favorite is Saving Private Ryan. I believe my liking of this drama has also to do with this genre as I really like war movies but there is less of a quality in this genre usually. The realistic depiction of war psychology, emotional behavior of combatants, minor level details of a war scene, misery of fighters, tactics, operational level relationship of an officer cadre with soldiers, decision making etc are excellently depicted and worked out. I also liked the graphic effects used. I think the least I liked of his movies is the War of the worlds. While being cheapest of his works, in my opinion, it still is better than many on science fiction.

I thought that War Of The Worlds would have been better if it was in 3D.I haven't seen Saving Private Ryan because when it came out, I wasn't in the mood to see it. But I think I'll try to see it now.

I'll strongly suggest you against watching it, if you are squeamish (I am not sure if you are), especially first 15-20 minutes are really "bloody". There are other events too, along the way, that can make one sick.

I am not sqeamish. The sight of blood doesn't bother me. It is a war film after all. Thank you for worrying about me.I have to be in the mood to see a war film or it won't effect me.It took me a long time to see Platoon. But when I was ready, I saw it with the lights off. It was great. But the best war film I have seen to date is Glory. It is set during the U.S's civil war.

I don't think I could pick just one of his movies as a favorite. He's got way too many that I like. He's just too good of a director and producer. He's been involved with far too many that I enjoy watching as one of those two. I just watched Minority Report tonight, it was on tv, and it was excellent. I'm with you I can't pick a favorite of his. I enjoy too many of them. Jaws, Raiders, Twister, Back to the Future, Hook, ET, and so many others. Way too many too choose from and I know that list is just the tip of the iceberg with him.

I liked the movie E.T. the best. What isn't to love about the cute little guy and his glowing finger. LOL I also really liked Schindler"s List. I cried when I saw that one. Munich was a good book, I haven't seen the movie yet. I should rent that one.

You have got to rent Munich. If you liked Schindler's List, you will love Munich. It is very violent at times so it is not for everyone, but it isn't as heart wrenching as Schindler's List.

Oh wow...this is a tough decision! Steven Spielberg is brilliant (obviously! =P) But I'd have to say that my favorite movie of his is Jurassic Park. I thought it was a great story, GREAT effects-loved the dinos! I think he did a great job with this movie, I loved all three of the movies! lol
