when i was growing up, i was closer to my mom than my dad. maybe coz i'm a girl and we usually bond for girlytalk. but after i got married, i became closer to my dad. i feel he understands me more now.

I think i'm very close to both my parents.....both of them r very free while talkin to me......but there are some things tat i can only discuss with my dad n there are somethings about which i can talk only to my dad but on the whole this situation arises very rarely so most of the time i'm talkin to both my parents about everything and i'm close to both of them.

good to know you have a close relationship with them. the world is a better place with families that are closely-knit and well-bonded. :)

I dont have a relationship with the ppl who adopted me..The husband sexually abused me (long term) and my mother has been verbally, mentally and emotionally abusive my entire life...So there is no relationship to speak of...As for my biological parents, unfortunately my father passed away when I was 19, so I never had the chance to meet him and I've also never met my mother either but that may change come the fall when the new laws are fully in place in Ontario...

i'm sorry to know about your adoptive parents' treatment of you. why did they adopt you in the first place? (just wondering) i do hope you get to meet your real mom someday. it's true that blood is thicker than water and you may very well prove that when you meet her. good luck!

my relationship with my mother and my father are okay I do love them a lot but they can drive me nuts and we always get into arguments granted I do get along better with my father we rarley get into arguments but with my mother it happens pretty much everyday and sometimes I cant stand her and I wish I didnt live with my parents because of my mother but I still love her though even though she is very annoying lol.

yeah i get what you mean. but arguments are common among families. what's important is we resolve our differences and still stay on loving one another. :)

Parents are really great asset to us and no one is so caring as parents, but mothers are greater between the two. Mothers put whole life or every moment of their life to help their children. Fathera usually remain off door and the interaction remains less. Fathers do care for children but not up to momms.
