Do you shoot off topics here as fast as you can or do you take time to consider whether the topic is relevant, important or helpful to the rest of the people on mylot? I try very hard to create discussions that will help many people here on mylot. Sometimes they are personal, but I know that something I may going through may match something someone else is going through and thus help them too.

I usually take time to make sure what I'm going to discuss is relevant or interesting to more people than myself. Sometimes I need suggestions for something, and other times I ask something that I'd like to know from my fellow mylotters. I rarely make new topics out of the spur of the moment, they always have atleast ten minutes of consideration beforehand.

I am glad to hear this. I think sometime people, not the whole of mylot, but a select few shoot off topics to see if they can get more points. Their topics are foolish and often times are really disgusting. I am so surprised sometimes what people think is interesting.

Hi sushicook! Yeah, you are right! We should really think the discussions that we are starting, that they are of good topics. That's should always be the case.

Hi littlefranciscan! Good to know that you are starting discussions of sense. That's should be the case. Just like you, I also think of my discussions first. I only start discussions once in a while, when I have thought of something that is of sense. Sometimes, its hard to think a good one.

Glad you are here. I think it's an awesome way to get support without having to enroll in some club;)+

I would say day to day topics and happenings make good gossip on mylot and also personal struggles and victories as well.. People love the personal touch; despite their overwhelming desire to compete they will stop to encourage and talk with a grieving member;)+

Yeah, you are right. THat's what I like here in myLot. You get to express yourself and that someone is there for you to comfort you or to be there for you to give advices.

I don't start discussions as frequently as many mylotters do.It takes me sometime to post a discussion.I like to post quality discussions, not the ones with only one line.I start topics which occur upon my mind suddenly or the stuff in my daily life. And I notice that some of my friends in the friend-list is very creative to start topics. They may start about ten or more topics per day.Maybe I should be more active and creative.

I am sure you have things to share. Are you from China? Perhaps you can tell of the culture there. What kind of activities happen there. What you do there, your employment etc.

Most of my topics are inspired from my day-to-day experiences. I give lot of thought before posting the idea that crops up in my mind.

I don't start discussions just to start them. I only start a discussion if I have given thought to it and think it can benifit myself and/or others by being started. I also try to make ones with substance that people can relate to so they can share their thoughts and experiences.

I have noticed that you have done just that. Some people, by their questions show exactly what they are trying to do! I surely don't want to read a topic like "What color are your shoes" Or "do you sleep".

Yes, exactly. Starting a discussion that calls for a one word answer.. does not breed discussion!

I couldn't agree more..one word answers and discussions that invite them really are not helpful to mylot. Why people even put them down boggles my mind;)+

That is wonderful that you take time to put time into your discussions. It's not always easy; especially if you hop into mylot last minute or are rushed for time. I would say the best time to create and write with mylot is when you are not tired; before your start the day or after the day is through and you are winding down.

I put a lot of thought in my discussions that i start. As a matter of fact i rarely start a discussion till i find some worthwile discussion worth starting which has to do with getting advice or discuss imp. issue on hand. I don't like starting discussions just like that. happy mylotting:)

in my newbie time, i may have posted something about .earning extra here at internet, i was so naive then, now that i see a lot of discussion like i posted before,..,i should have read first before posting that question, like i said i'm a newbie,... so have a heart....the last discussion i posted really comes from my heart, its about my little girl, i have to think a dozen of times before i decide to post it, with her picture in it,.. and i really thank those who posted their comments, i even pm some,.. i may not have a good imagination in posting an interesting discussions like you,,, so, i guess i stick my nose to responding to other's discussion more than creating a new one...

I don't think I have a gift for creating interesting topics but I try to speak from the heart and share what's going on in my mind.
