When do you go back to school shopping?

I just came back from a long morning at the stores trying to get what I can for my two kids who are going back to school on August 08.
I actually started shopping since summer came into season. We live on an island where you can never find any seasonal sales because we are tropical all year around exept for the rainy days that come along.
The most I spent today was on shoes. I bought two pairs of K-Swiss shoes fro $49.99 each, at they were on sale! Luckily we have a T-shirt outlet here that sells 5 T-shirts for $20.00....I think I did pretty good today with my shopping and have nothing left but school supplies to get, I usually wait until the last minute because they will use it all up before school starts….lol..
How about you, when do you plan on doing your “back to school sale”?

My son will be starting Kindergarten in September for the first time and I was wondering what would be some ideal clothing to get him, play clothes maybe t-shirts and shorts, shoes as in sandals and sneakers maybe? He does have sports clothes but not as much, mostly dress shorts and shirts/polo shirts. What would you suggest liyan?
As for the stationary items, we have already ordered this through the schools PTA and should arrive late August.

Hello maddysmom,
you are right, shorts, t-shirts and sneakers would be appropriate because he will be very active. My daughter is also entering kinder and I got sneakers for her. Although I would love to dress her up like a Barbie,I know that she will be very active especially in kinder....lol..I will just wait for the school programs to get a chance to really dress her up....lol
