I am talking about ignorance and it is the root cause of all misfortune. Is it a curse of god on some humans or laziness on part of them to keep themselves ignorant?

I guess for some "ignorance is bliss". That's why there are still so many prejudices in this world, so many people are at war with each other, etc. It's never-ending.

Thank you for the BR. I know a lot about ignorance because I come across a lot of that all the time being a military wife.

We have a saying in China that it is the father's fault not to educate his kids while bringing them up. So it is the same that it is unborn than untaught. As parents, we have to take the responsibilities to have our kids well educated without keeping them ignorant otherwise they will behave properly in the society and will thus be kept in the lower class of society...

Ignorant people are more dangerous people, because no one can rely on them.

Ignorance is not just lacking knowledge or ignoring knowledge. It is also judging people by the way they look to you. You are right in that it is usually the cause of many misfortune. Furthermore, teaching is not just knowing what you are teaching. It is also the ability to take your knowledge & passing it on to whoever you are teaching, as well as feeling comfortable with what you know.
