To all Harry Potter fans out there? What do you think of this new movie? Well for me, if you really don't read the book from the start you will appreciate it because you are not expecting anything though the movie is great right? But for those who read the book you will still appreciate it but you will expect of somethings that they didn't include and they compress the story! What do you think?

"You know, you can't just put everything (every scene)into the movie" that's what i've been telling to everyone who keeps on telling me (coz i've read all the HP books) that the first 4 HP movies sucks. But everything changes when i watched HP5, i mean generally the whole movie was great. The way they used the daily prophet to show us some necessary scenes from the book. But when they change the scene when Marietta Edgecombe (which is the really traitor not Cho Chang) sold them (Dumbledore's Army) to Professor Umbridge i was so disappointed. How could J.K. Rowling allow that?! Poor Cho. I Hope in the next movies of HP they won't do that again... Plssss....

I was very excited about this movie. I watched the midnight showing on Wednesday and was SO excited to be one of the first to see the movie. Too bad I walked away disappointed. I agree, they compressed the story, which was expected in some ways, but what they did include, they compressed. I've said this in other posts and in a discussion I made about the movie...what they did include were like miniature scenes, like the whole thing was a trailer. So I agree. If you watched only the movies all this time, then the movie would have been satisfactory becuase you weren't aware of all the fantastic scenes they cut and changed. What's worse is they cut good scenes and then added crappy scenes that weren't even in the book. I don't understand why directors feel the need to add scenes to what was already an amazing book. The scenes that were added and not in the book were obvious ones because they were awkward, misplaced, and just anti-climactic.

I really liked how they used the "Daily Prophet" to move the story along. I thought it was a good use of a devise. I like the way the movie used Nevil to find the Room of Neccesity - I really like it that Nevil is getting more play in the movies. He's become the replacement for Dobby in the books.

I saw the movie yesterday, it is a good movie. I have not read harry potter books but i have seen all the movies. They said its better to watch the movie than reading it coz they said if you read it there are a lot of parts in the book deleted in the movie. So better not read the book and watch the movie so you can appreciate it better.

I have watched it yesterday (on its opening day, yipee!) and i was disappointed in a way because I was expecting scenes from the book. The effects was really great, especially (SPOILER WARNING)during fred and george's farewell prank and voldemort and dumbledore's fight scenes. I think I liked the first four movies, but considering the storyline it held up to the book's darker much teenager-y theme. I don't think its a movie for kids to watch.
