Comcast..Hate or Love it?

Do you have Comcast? I need to vent about them for a minute. I have had them for about a year now and UGHHHHHH. I have had nothing but problems. They have been here im guessing at least 5 times with the year. Each time they come out here for what ever reason, I end up having to call comcast for the rest of the day and into the next day to try and get someone to come back and either finish what they started or fix what they did. I have had supervisors out here a couple of time because of my constant calling. Not like it did any good but it got the job done. Well we are at it again today. They have been doing "upgrades" in the area for a month now maybe longer. Well just this week they started doing the inside of our townhouse. They are replacing the old cable which I didnt think was that old since its only been here for a year. So I have a dog who doesnt like people she doesnt know in my house. So she was locked in the bathroom (only rooms with out cable that has a door) for 2 hours. I couldnt take her out side because the "idiots" were out there also. They got here at 1 to start the job after telling me at 11 they were going to start. So anyway...they are here until 430 or so..no the dog wasnt locked up that long, I took her for a ride. So we send the kids upstairs to make sure the cable works and we check downstairs. Well it works upstairs but not down. We discovered that they changed the location that it comes into the house to a spot on the opposite side of the room. Well the apparently decided "lets piss these one off and not give them the cable they need to hook this up". So we went out to where they had their vans parked and of course they were gone. I went upstairs to see what they had done and OMG. The put new outlets in all the bedrooms which is great. They however did not hang any of the cables in any of the rooms. They left the cable draped over furniture and running along the floor. I again called comcast. Ended up calling 5 different times because noone could help me. Finally I got a hold of someone..in Missouri..im in Virginia...that was willing to help me out. Filled out all the complaint forms and sent to corperate and sent 5 emails to dispatch. Set up a time for them to come out today. Sometime between 11-2. Its 10:53 now so Im waiting still. So Now that your bored with this longggg post or what feels like it anyway, Have you had this problem or something similar?

We have trouble all the time with comcast. I called one time because our internet was out got someone in a diffrent state. She told me that all over jersey was done! Which was a lie because my friends have comcast and there internet was fine. When i found that out i called them the next time and i was like screaming at them and of course they where out the next day to fix the problem! Go me. Seems like every time i call they can come out sooner and sooner. But that was AFTER i got an appointment for them to come out the next day and NO ONE showed up! So i had to call them back and when they told me someone could come out tomorrow i told them they better make sure someone comes!! We still have issues though with the internet! I swear if i had a penny every time the internet decided not to work i could be a millionaire over night!

I hear you....I would constantly be told some one would be out and ended up calling them back when no one showed up....Finally they gave me the number to the contractor who was supposed to be working on the situation because they were tired of me calling so much....Well Hello get better contractors! I got tired of it and finally have Verizon phone and Internet now. Still have to have Comcast for tv though, but it is better than nothing at all. Good Luck to you.

There's a reason I call Comcast "The Great Satan". They are the monopoly cable company here too, and if you want cable you have no choice. Expensive? They are outrageous.
Comcast is the reason I gave up cable and TV for nearly three years. I have satellite now and I like it a lot. Maybe there are some differences in services but it's a lot cheaper and their basic packages include more than Comcast.
I pay for my satellite on my phone bill like I do my internet DSL provider, it makes it all very convenient.
