Do you hate phone calls when sleeping???

Hello Coolgeth, My cell phone is on 24/7 unless when I feel very tired and don't want to be disturbed, I will switch off my cell phone. Even if it rings in the middle of midnight or while I am sleeping soundly, I won't take the call. I will just check the details the next day and replied to the caller, if I found out that it is an urgent matter.

I never hear a phone when I am asleep. I have a phone in the living room/ landline with an answering machine and the cell phone is on the kitchen counter. Both phones are downstairs and I sleep upstairs. I never hear them at night. In the morning I listen to the answering machines. This is good enough for me. I think I would be bothered quite a bit if I would hear the phones ring at night because at times people do call at night.

I do not give the residence telephone numbers to anyone and I hardly get any calls. It is really a nuisance to hear phone ring when I am sleepy or getting ready to sleep. There are people who keep talking 15 to 20 minutes. That is another nuisance.

It depends on who is calling and what time of day they are calling. If it's in the middle of the night I answer, because I know it's important. If I don't want to be disturbed I just don't plug in the phone. I have pre-set ringtones on my phone, so I know who is calling even before I look at my call display.

Not really the problem I have is I can sleep right through talking to someone and not recall a word of what it was I said to them on the phone. I will run into someoen days later or my wife will say so and so told you on the phone yesterday I needed to call them and I am like what someone called? MY wife knows when I have usually been sleeping and she will make sure I am fully awake before she gives me any instructions.

Yup, i hate it, especially if i'm really tired and sleepy. I don't like waking up just because of phone calls. Sometimes i have no choice but to answer it even i'm too sleepy and want to get back to sleep again.

I will usually turn the ringer very low when I'm sleeping or off on occasions if I definitely don't want to be bothered. ‹(°¿°)›

yes,, i hate receiving calls especially when i'm sleeping, but i always forget to put my fone in silent mode everytime i sleep.. and although i put it in silent mode, i can still feel if someones is texting or calling because it is still vibrating..

i don't mind getting phone calls when i am sleeping. it just means somebody thought of me to call me that late :) or it might be an emergency that needs my attention. i seldom put my phone in silent mode because an important call might come. you'll never know.

I don't hate it that much friend cos the person calling you might have an important thing to discuss with you about. Thanks

absolutely.some days it'll ring all day and wake me up-i usually shut off the ringer,if it's that important,they can leave a message.i don't want them waking up my elderly mother either.

hi coolegeth!!Well i too do that.When i sleep at night i will switch of that but when sometiems i take a nap in the afternoons i will put it in the silent mode.I hate to recieve calls when i feel sleepy or asleep.Smiles

Hello there Coolgeth! I do hate it when I am asleep and the phone rings! It happens all the time here at my house. It is usually by brothers calling to talk about some nonsense fishing expediation that they went on and caught a marlin…lol.. Nonetheless I have to answer the phone, because I am worried that it might be someone important on the line. My mom has always told me that if the phone rings in the middle of the night while you are sleeping, I have to answer it like it or not because there could be an emergency with a family member.

not really! so far no one has call me in the middle of the night if its not of some importance.

Yeah i really hate that thing but you know what sometimes some people dont notice it and will continue to call you untill you get up and tell them that you are sleeping and then they will say sorry i will call you later :(

I hate when the phone rings at any time. I hate talking on the phone. It is a waist of time. If I have to talk on the phone with someone, I try to say what I have to say and then get off of there. I hate waisting time on the phone and thinking of things to talk about when I could be doing more productive things. I don't answer the phone when i am sleeping either.

No I very rarely mind getting phone calls when I am asleep unless they are marketing calls! I sleep very lightly and usually end up napping little and often so I don't really mind! xxx

Yes, I do, most of the time. Sometimes it's a good thing when I get phone calls in the morning because they wake me up. If it wasn't for some phone calls, I would sleep until noon most days. lol

Yes i realey do but when you hawe an elderer parents that not well I hawe to hawe my phone on but I wold like to turn it of on the night. Hawe a nice day.

I'll ignore phone calls when sleeping!!it's the only time I get to dream of Cillian Murphy;p kidding!Sleep is just too important for me and as a student,i'd choose sleep over anything;)
