I am a fan of kobe.He is the best of the NBA.I think he will do what others can't do,and achieve what others can't achieve.Surpass Jordan is no problem.

You definitely are an NBA ALMANAC fan. And I praise you for that. your right Kobe is agreat player but he will not be a winner as MJ is. Championships? Kobe can't get one unless he will have another allstar in his team or in short he needs help...

I totally disagree with the prognostic that Kobe will ever surpass Jordan...If you are talking about statistics that might be possible...He might be able to score more career points than Jordan...but as far as winning more championships and other awards I doubt it. Jordan -Awards: 14 time All-Star Olympic Gold Medal Winner—1984, 1992 Five time MVP—1988, 1991, 1992, 1996, 1998 Rookie of the Year—1984 Defensive Player of the Year—1988 11 times All-NBA (10 times first team) 9 time All-Defensive First Team Named one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History -Records: Most scoring titles—10 Most NBA Finals MVP awards—6 Highest career scoring average—30.12 Highest career scoring average playoffs—33.45 Most consecutive games scoring in double figures—866 Highest single series scoring average NBA Finals—41.0 (1993) Kobe -Awards: 9 time All-Star No Olympic Gold Medal No MVP Regular season award No Rookie of the year award No Defensive Player of the Year award 9 times All-NBA (5 times first team 5 time All-Defensive First Team -Records: none worthy to note, although his 81 point game was sweet, but thats not even a record Also note that Kobe has been in the NBA for 11 seasons and Jordan played for 15. So basically, Kobe you've got 4 more seasons to top jordan!!! While not forgetting that you are not likely to get any better hafter having logged so many minutes over the past 11 years. I don't see Kobe winning anymore NBA championships...scoring titles probably, more All-Stars and he'll probably win an MVP award at some point like Karl Malone did because a player of his dimension has to at least win it ounce...I'm sure David Stern will make sure of that...

What analyst said that? Until Kobe gets the hand full of rings, the scoring titles, and the MVP trophys than he can't surpass MJ. Even than, he wouldn't be accepted as better because of the publics dislike for Kobe.

We cannot say that all people hate Kobe. well at the past yes, because of his disrespectfulness, boastfullness and arrogance. but now you can see that he is also topping the nba all-star voting. and also he is cheered in away games. all i can say is Kobe is a great player and he will be that player, but definitely he cannot be MJ

Well, I agree with the analyst. Michael Jordan is a great player, but I believe that Kobe will surpass him. Hoever, it won't be easy for all people to grasp it. We will always have people saying that Jordan is the best and will always be the best. People don't want to see their idols dethroned!

you maybe right.. but nobody can forsee or predict the future.. if kobe stays healthy and stays consistent with his game and most especially if he can find a way to pull a championship ring by his own then he may surpass jordan and may become the greatest player ever played.

Nope, there will always be one Michael Jordan. Kobe? I think Wilt Chamberlain and Kareem are better players than him.

Nobody can ever replace the world's greatest basketball player. Both Kobe and Mike are one of the best individual players in the NBA. Mike is also one of the best team players while Kobe is never a team player and that makes the difference. MJ can carry his team alone to the finals while Kobe needs Shaq to be able to win a championship. Need I say more.
