Associated Content - Need Some Article Ideas

United States

I am starting to become very active over at AC and need some help, particularly from my friends here at Mylot. Most of you know my style of writing by now and I just wondered if there is anything you'd like to see me write about or have an idea that you think I may be able to use (all of which will only be used with your permission of course). If you want to see my articles you can do so by clicking on the link in my profile..I have 3 up at the moment and 1 that just got approved today which should be published real soon...thanks for the help.

I've always had a difficult time thinking up topics for AC, so maybe the ideas people give you will help me as well. :) I have wanted to write some articles about getting tattoos or piercings or something along those lines, but I just never feel like I know enough about the topics, or can't narrow it down to something I could write an article on. They aren't really big on people writing JUST about personal experiences, so that may be part of the problem for me.

I did one about tattooing and basically took my personal experiences and put a twist on it so that it became a "what not to do" type of guide for first time tattooers. I've actually had a bunch of hits to that article. If you want you can read it here http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/287451/what_not_to_do_if_youre_getting_a_tattoo.html

I don't visit the site often, so don't know what topics you have already written on now. My suggestion would be the recent terror at 300 feet, as I kept reading enough though I'm afraid of heights. You might consider writing about tattoos, but I think you probably have already.

I am hunting for topics myself but I did add you to my favorites list and subscribed to your reviews so I can get notifications when you post. I still can't figure out what exactly they WANT - I have had a few things rejected and I can't seem to find any solid "list" of what they really want people to submit things on outside of the messages that they post for content.

So far I've submitted six and only had one rejected and I imagine it was because it was kinda adult in nature but not overtly so. I really have the bug right now and want to submit 2 or 3 per day.

Well, I am glad somebody brought this up because I am rather stuck myself not knowing what kinds of material is more likely to be accepted and rejected and what kind of a system they have going there, so thanks for coming forward and asking the question first of all! And thanks everyone for their responses. I hope I can gain ideas from this as well. Personally the thing that keeps coming to my mind is to find some sort of historical event or educational concept and link it to a personal experience... The other thing of course, is a review of a book you just read or a movie you just saw or something of that nature.

thats kinda the route I plan on going. I read a lot and watch a ton of movies so I have endless material there and then just write whatever else pops into my head.

You can write about pretty much anything. I've only published 3 articles so far, but I submitted three more this week--one about studying German, one about hair care products, and another about finding music teachers. Write about experiences you've had, products you've tried, places you've traveled, restaurants you've visited. If you have opinions about religious and political issues, write about it. You can check out my content page for articles I've written. I have more on the way! http://www.associatedcontent.com/user/83444/tina.html Hope this helps!
