If there are such places as Heaven and Hell then I belive that I am like most other people. I am not evil enough to deserve Hell and not saintly enough to deserve Heaven. I try to be a good person and treat others as I would be treated. However, I make my share of mistakes and I have a terrible temper.

With respect, I couldn't disagree more. My beliefs more closely resemble those of Buddism. I believe we reap what we sow in this life and the next. I have no desire to get into a religious debate here. I respect your beliefs, but please respect mine also.

freebc, you are right - our salvation does not depend on our deeds - I don't know why people keep saying that.

They keep saying it because this is what they believe. Not all of us belive the same thing, nor do we all have to belive what you believe. Open your mind. We are not all the same.

Paul said that no one could take you out of the Hand of the Lord. In fact, both the Father and the Son have you cupped in their Hands. You can leave even if you want to. If you asked forgiveness for you sins, asked Jesus to come into your heart and be your Lord and Savior, all sin in forgiven, even the ones you forget about. You can be as sure of Heaven as though you were already there. Jesus paid it all, you just need to be obedient to Him and do what is right. Let Jesus take care of the rest. To the person who said they were a good person and wouldn't go to hell, think again. There is no one good, no not one. We all are sinners. Only through the shed Blood of Jesus can we be saved from hell. But, it is our choice. God does not send anyone to hell, we get there all by ourselves without Jesus. Dear sister, I'll see you in Heaven, guaranteed!

I strongly agree with you, Diamond Wings. To prove further that salvation is only through JESUS CHRIST I want to share this site and hope some would read this one because this is one way of getting SAVED, we Christians must tell others the way and how to be SAVED!www.livingwaters.com

Well I know this will upset/shock some people here, but no, I don't believe in hell, so - no - I won't be going there. I am a good person, - I don't lie, or steal or hurt other living creatures, whether human or animals. I am faithful to my partner, respect my Father and my family, I am loyal to my friends, I wrk hard, pay my taxes, don't cheat, and I live a decent life. But in my view heaven and hell are just fanciful "myths" made up many years ago to scare gullible people, - so I am not taken in by people threatening me with "hell and damnation", - and if you lead a good, quiet, law-abiding life, you shouldn't be scared either.

rosie, This is like jumping out of an airplane and saying, I don't believe in the ground - therefore, I will not hit it. It doesn't matter one iota whether you believe in heaven or hell - you will end up in one place or the other just the same. You may well be heaven-bound, but it won't be for the reasons you just listed.

Well that is your view Deena, and I respect it, but I have studied all major religions over years, and I am an Atheist becaue I firmly believe there is no such thing as heaven or hell. To me the whole thing is just a "fairy story", so in my view I will not end up in either place anymore than I would end up in Cinderella's Castle or wherever, because they simply go not exist.

No I don't think I am hellbound. I accepted the Lord as my personal savior and that's that. I will admit when I first was born again; I did have some doubts. I prayed and asked God to take the fear from me if I was truly saved. The doubt left. Pray about it and listen to what God tells you.

Don't just ask him to help you avoid evil. Ask him to help you with your doubt.

I, too, am Christian. I have heard ministers talk about people who sin and for what ever reason are doomed to Hell. I have always felt and have been taught that if we truly believe that we repent of our sins than we will be forgiven. God sent his only begotten son so that we would be forgiven. We must however learn to lead a better life and get a relationship with God. God loves us and wants us to have a sucessgul and happy life knowing that He is in charge.

Im a christian too. But i never fear to be on fire when judgement day comes. Please take note that we are the special creation of GOD. Angels like cherrub lucifer had envied us before GOD had created us, for we are born out of the likeness of our MAKER. GOD never let us go ashtray even in the end. But we have to go through a process GOD had set for us in order for us to grow in HIS LOVE and CARE. Do you know that legions of original followers of Lucifer had now surrendered to our GOD the FATHER including lucifer himself? The remaining devils are just an offspring, more sinister than the originals. They (the devil) are the ones who taught us to be of fear that we will not be saved at the end or be brought to fire with them. Why? You know the reason why. Don't ask me on that because that is the next topic. - May the the grace of our LORD GOD the FATHER, OUR LORD GOD the SON and OUR LORD GOD the HOLY SPIRIT be with you always. - MrGenerics

thank you. but i think having doubts is not a work of evil it's a loss of confidence in oneself that he cannot do anything better in his life. like in my case i know i'm not an evil person but, there is a part of me that says i'm not doing well enough for God for me to be saved.

Christians should not fear Hell. Putting your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior gaurantees your salvation. You cannot go wrong with that. Do not doubt your salvation. You could do nothing on your own to get to heaven, so as a Christian you can do nothing to lose your salvation.

Why fear Hell when you have it in our own earthly existence . there is no other heaven or hell high above or deep below .

You need to be fear of hell, because not until you salvation is real, sure and geniue you can not say it with bodeness that you are a candidate to heaven.I think you need to seat down and think about the place you have miss it,pray and tell it to God and HE is gently and kind to welcome you back home.

If you live well, and do well, why do you fear hell? I always believe in cause and consequences... if you have done what is right and have no problems sleeping at night knowing that you have not done anything wrong to hurt anyone, why do you fear hell? If you have a clear conscience, why do you fear hell? Unless you are doing something your conscience is bugging you, then you may have a valid reason to fear hell. Living day to day worrying about hell is not going to allow you to see the best that life can offer. Instead, you will only be wallow in a subconscious view of everything negative that will result in one going to hell. Not a very healthy out look of life....

I don't know what is hell, but i know that living with plenty of problems and burdens are already hell so what kind of hell shall we have to face then? Hell and heaven is something like an imaginative things wherein serve as a reward if we do good things to our neighbor and go to hell if we done something bad.

i guess a person can be saved if he/she accepted Christ as his creator, so i guess that's it. If you accepted Him as your God, your creator, then you possibly be saved. And i believe in heaven and hell too... but i guess based on the bible, Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the light" so our paths can be guided by the Lord to stopped being deceived by evil so again it is really up to us on what path we will take - heaven or hell.

I believe that satan puts doubts in our minds to weaken our faith. Do I think im hellbound? No I do not I have already given my life to god. However I do fear hell. In the bible in philippians 2:12-13 it says "Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling". try praying and tell god exactly how you feel. and then wait he will answer you. it might take awhile but he will answer.
