What would you do? You are attending a social gathering at a friend's house. You have used their restroom only to find that your 'business' will not flush down. The toilet has become clogged. You search the bathroom and do not find a plunger. What do you do?

I would rip my shirt and pants, scratch myself across the face and chest, open the bathroom window and then run out into the party and exclaim that I had just been mauled by a bear who had escaped from the circus (i know this because he is wearing a tutu). I'd then tell them that after the attck the bear had gone to the toilet and used it and that they may want to get in there with a plunger as he had plugged it.

OK this situation is not pretty and gives the saying, "Didn't know if I should S**t or go blind," a whole new meaning ! I guess I would go find the owner of the home and simply ask if he/she has a plunger because I need to use the bathroom and there appears to be a problem. As honest as I credit myself for I'm again being honest I'm pretty sure I wouldn't claim this as mine.

I would go to the friend to let them know that the toilet is plugged. It shouldn't be a cause for concern. If I was the host, I would want to be alerted to the problem.

Honestly, if it were a real friend, I would tell them, "I think I may have clogged up the toilet, is there a plunger that I could use to fix it before it gets worse?" If were someone that I didn't know well, I'd probably tell them that I was about to go to the bathroom when I noticed it was clogged, just thought you should know.

When I was living with my Dad, my nephew and his wife came to visit. This happened to her. Not only wouldn't it flush but, being a septic system, the contents in the bowl rose alarmingly to the surface. She came to me in a dither and I was too embarrassed for her to inspect the situation so I called Dad. Of course he and my nephew came a running and sorted the problem. If it had been me I think I would have gone away and hoped it would fix itself and no-one would know I was the last person to use the loo. LOL.

I would simply go tell my friend that I clogged her john!! If she knew me very well at all, she'd probably just die laughing all the way to the get the plunger. I DEFINITELY would NOT just leave it! I can't stand it when people do that. In fact, I was on a plane once and the toilet was disgusting because it wouldn't flush from the last person. I came out immediately and told the stewardess and they closed that bathroom for the rest of the flight. I don't know why people don't speak up... it's something ALL of us do, most of us do it daily or more . . . what's the big deal?? No pun intended!! LOL!!!!

That is exactly how I would be Renae. I would make some witty remark and ask for a plunger! My friends know me well enough that it takes more than this to embarrass me! I'd probalby say something like, "I always told you I was full of *(#*Y, well now I'm not! Where is your plunger!"

Oh I hope this will remain in the realm of speculation!!! I would peek out of the bathroom door to try to get one friendly person's attention and seek his/her assistance in getting the host to me. You can't just leave something like that. Well, actually I'm presuming that we're talking about number two... if it was number one, I wouldn't feel as bad about leaving it in there long enough to retrieve the host. With number two I would want to keep it attended and get someone to bring the host to me. However you spin it this would be horribly embarrassing, but you have to just face up to it and keep a good sense of humor.

I would be very embarrassed off course but I will swallow my pride and ask for help. Because I am not sure what else I would do at that point.

Start yelling for the homeowner for some help. Yes it would be embarrassing but I wouldn't want it to flow over everywhere. So I reckon the only thing to do is holler for some help.
