When you buy your little children sneakers, would you prefer to buy them the one with the straps or the one with the laces. I prefer the one with the straps. it's really practice specially with little children My hubby told me that i shoud start buying the one with the lace so they can start learning to tie the shoe laces. how about you which one do you prefer?

It depends on their age and temperament. My four year old wants to be able to put his shoes on himself but doesn't have the patience yet to learn to tie laces so he gets velcro. He's really good about leaving them fastened too. My two year loves getting his shoes on and has no problem sitting still while they get tied so he gets laces. I double knot them so they won't come undone. I think he would be too tempted to play with velcro straps all the time. The baby doesn't get shoes yet but will start off with velcro probably. Tiny baby laces are too hard to get and keep tied.

Yes, i'm planning to really get them the laces one when they hit 7 or 8 yrs old. It's just more like a lifesaver right now with the velcro.

Since my kids know how to tie there laces I dont care which ones they get. I just bought 1 of my kids sneakers today and she wanted the ones with the Z strap and to be honest I realyl like them alot. They are easier for her to slip on instead of streatching her other sneakers to get her foot in.

I prefer laces. I think they look so much better. The ones with the straps look cheap to me. Although my mother in law just bought my son a pair of Nike shoes that have laces and a strap and they don't look to bad. In the middle it has the criss crosses of laces and then at the top where laces would tie is one strap. So they are ok. And they look cute too.
