Lactose Intolorance-What medications have worked for you?

I know that there are many over the counter remedies to help deal with lactose intolorance. Origionally I was using a suppliment from Trader Joes. This worked well for me and also was fairly affordable. However they stopped carrying this suppliment and as my last bottle runs down, I am wondering where to turn next. I know there is a brand. "Lactaid", but this is very pricey in my local drug store. I was hoping someone could suggest an affordable, and effective suppliment for lactose intolorance. Thanks!

I don't take medications, they are too dangerous. There are natural cures out there for everything, including lactose intolerance so seek them out and get off the dangerous prescription meds. The side effects from them are worse than the original ailment.

Oh no...these aren't perscription medications. They are over the counter suppliments, like vitamins. I know one solution would be to stop eating dairy...but I just can't give up ice cream and cheese!

Check Kevin Trudeau's new Natural Cures book and see what he says. He always has really good advice about which cures to use for which ailments. There are a few things I disagree with him about, like Scientology for instance. I'm a Christian. But for the most part Kevin's a good guy and he knows what he's talking about as far as health matters are concerned.

I dont think lactaid would be considered a medicine I'm not sure. If it is then its an over the counter one. I used to take it when I was in high school. It worked great. They had a generic brand but I had to take double the amount to get it to work so it didnt save any money doing that anyway.

If you find something that works and that is affordable, please share. I've been avoiding milk and dairy products for years now.
