How did you meet your current partner (bf / gf / husband / wife)?

Well, i know there are amazing stories about how people meet. So i wanted to share with mine and you may share yours too... I met my current bf through a friend of mine. my friend and me were supposed to meet for a movie, but instead of meeting at the mall, my friend asked me to go straight to their office because she still is attending to something. it was my first time to go to her office and i was hesitant to go first but i still went there, anyway. It was not difficult to find their room, and the door was open. i didn't see my friend right away, but i noticed the guy at his desk near the door. then i heard a whisper (in my thoughts), "sya yun..." -- in english, "it's him" but i didn't put much attention to that and smiled instead to the guy and asked if my friend is in. He pointed me over a few desks away and there was my friend. Nevertheless, my friend introduced the guy to me and i gave him another smile and he went away. i stayed for a while longer in my friend's office and i got introduced to other personnel present. Anyway, when my friend and i were on our way to the mall nearby to watch the movie, my friend received a text message. My friend told me that it was from the guy he introduced to me and he wanted to get my number. I thought, "well, ok. at least i'll be expanding my network of friends..." So, indeed, i didn't only expand my network of friends but he also became my boyfriend....hehehe...and i will always thank God for that blessed day. (Though it was not after a month that we became officially "on")...

Very Interesting... I actually met my husband 10 years ago threw a friend of my dads. At the time though I was seeing someone much older than me. Well i knew deep down that wasn't going to work out so umm I dumped him..lol A few weeks later my dad's friend wanted to know if I was seeing anyone or anything like that and of course I replied no. He had told me he had someone for me to meet. I thought umm well ok I will take the chance. A few days later He brought this person (now my husband) over and I met him, I thought wow he's super nice and not to mention HOT! lol I had total interest in him.. We started to date and one thing lead to another. a year after being together we got married and had a child together. My dads friend is no longer here but he knew who was right for one another and who really wasn't. He told me with my first boyfriend to dump him it was like he already knew what was going to happen. I am very glad i did and took the chance on who I am with now. So that's my story!

wow! great story! your dad's friend was a very excellent matchmaker. I guess we'll need more of people like him with great talent! i realized that we must also take into consideration the opinion of others about our relationships because they may have seen what we couldn't see and that they would actually know what's best for us. Thanks for sharing your story!

oh.. i cant forget that day. it was enrollment at college. it was my first time to be at college so i really prepared for it. but i didnt expect that i will meet someone that would take a big part of my life. i was asking the security guard what line is for Information Technology students. when the guard pointed on certain line, there was a guy smiling at me and signing at me and telling "dito ka oh sa tabi ko" in english--- be at my side. when i went near him he ask what course am i going to be in and we found out that we're the same. he asked more until he finally had to go. i didnt look at his face and even didnt ask his name. i also dont have any idea if we chose the same schedule nor even if we can meet sometime. but actually i didnt mind him. i thought he was just a stranger that will fade away after. On the first day of class... everyone noticed me because i was able to participate very well during Trigonometry class. and i noticed a guy that keeps on smiling and looks like doesnt have any problem at all. We know each others name but we dont talk at all. One day during our IT111 class he go near to my computer while i was doing some typing activities. he told me that i look familiar until we figured out that he was the stranger on the line. we have the same schedule on every subjects. And our Student ID numbers were 344851 and 344852 so it is confirmed. after that funny revelations, we took out for lunch and watched movie. we get to know each other and had been good friends until lovers... :)

I met my fiance 3 1/3 years ago at Boracay. It was funny because we always bump into each other but the reaction is that as if nothing's happen. We dont even look each other we just go to our own way. We never said sorry and have a little chit chat. After a week, at the coffee shop where me and my friends were hanging out he and his friends was also there finally he went to our table and asked for my name and he said that my face was familiar and i told him my face is familiar because we always bump into each other. That was the start of everything.... Do you think the bumping thing was the sign but we ignored it at first??

Could be... its just that most of us often ignore the signs first, and then realize it later... For me, the sign was that moment when i heard the whisper, "Siya yun", though i ignored it too. I only recalled that it happened when were already a couple and thought of what transpired that day we first met...hehehe!

I was just a one of their customer in their business...and he was 5 years older than me and obviously he wouldnt notice me because i was so young. Im not interested with him either. But after 8years, i was 19 then, we met again in a christian life program in our area. Im not too young anymore, im a lady. I know him the moment he walked in the church door! It turns out that we belong to the same group and BOOOM!!! everything is a history...;)

I met my husband 21 years ago through my now sil. I was her babysitter and one day when i got to here house the kids i took care of met me at the door and said shhhhhhh uncle Derrick is asleep on the couch. I walked in and here he was naked half covered with a sheet. He and his brother had taken their father out the night before and he was sleeping off his drinks. His sil came in and covered him up and left for worked. I went about my day with him laying there and was reading curious George goes to the hospital, the kids got bored with the book and got up to play so i closed the book and he sits up and says "don't leave me hanging what happens next" lol then he realizes he has no clothes on and wraps the sheet around him and runs upstairs. It was so funny, now we were at that time both dating someone else so It was a shock about a month and a half later i got a call from him asking me out on a date. He had found out through his sil that i was not in a relationship anymore. So to make a real long story short we dating for about 3 months he asked me to marry him we married the next year and will celebrate 19 years on Aug 13.

We originally met on the internet through a writing group that we'd both recently joined. We started chatting after that, off group, and realized we had a lot more than just writing in common. We eventually met in Arizona, and now we are engaged to be married.

That was a cool story and kimd of romantic as well. My story of how me and my bf met is not as exciting, but still it is kind of cute. We actually met at the bar and we were both a bit intoxicated. Anyways he followed me home that same night bu i made it very clear to him that it would not be any action. That I was not that kind of girl. he agreed and we sleeped (JUST sleeped together) Áfter this we were more or less unseperable and he never (except for clearig out his apartment) went home *lol* We have lived together for about a year and a half now and I could not be more happy .-D

I was actualy dating my now husbands best friend all through high school. After school we faded apart buy my now hubby and I grew closer, we were married 2 years after we graduated from high school. It took a while for the friendship to repair between my husband and his best friend but all is well now and I guess that is what matters.

I meet my boyfriend at a dance over 11 years ago. We were both "very happy". Well! I was 19 and on a holiday and wanted to have fun. Well we didn't remember each other at all but his friend wrote down my number but forgot my name. He called the place I was staying and hung up cause he felt silly not knowing my name. I called back and we made plans to go out. I didn't remember which guy he was that I was talking to so I was surprised when I saw him. We spent the next month together and I went home 2000km away. We talked all the time and he came to Toronto to visit. Two months later I moved back and we have been together ever since. We have been able to grow as people and still love each other very much.

nice heheh... well situation was like this... me and five of my friends were looking for an appartment (for college) so we found one that was cheap and looked good enough. but the last day before classes started the flat owner said we could only have the half of the appartment coz she forgot someone was already living in the other half (how you could forget a thing like this i do not know) so we were forced to take the first offer we would get and the offer was a tottaly crappy appartment miles away from our colleges and twicly overpriced. but this was a big house full of students. two were tottaly hot (one was an athlet and other could be a model hehehe) the one that was nicknamed a model was so so so hot but i had a felling that he was a bit of a woman hunter and stuf so i did not pay attention on him (don't like guys like that) so i started dating that athlet (good that relationship was boooooooooring) who was a roomate of the "model". since i was spending a lot of time in their room just hanging out i realized (besides the booringnes of the athlet) that me and "model boy" have a lot of things incomon, the same wishes, same favourite tv shows, same beliefes about many things... so as time passed i broke up with athlet, moved away next jear. But on my surprise the "model" foloved. things took their turns and affter a while we became a couple (and are a couple for over a year now)... oh and yes i was right he was a women hunter before:D Moral: don't let your predjudice take charge of your life... "not every woman hunter is a forever woman hunter heheheh"

i met my bf in college. at first we were just regular friends and related just like a brother and sister. We were in a group of eight friends and we were so close as a group. we would go out to eat, to the movies, bowling, parties, studying, exercising, college cafeteria, play games, almost everything! no one, including myself, thought that we would ever be together. but one day he told me that he has always had feelings for me and that he wanted to know me better. I told him that i like it when we are just friends, but he kept pursuing me. now we are in a relationship and the rest of our group friends are happy for us.
