Where are some good freelance writing places online?

I'm looking for other places to get writing assignments other than the typical Associated Content and Helium. I'm already a member at both of these. I don't want to pay for access to the jobs either. If I could pay for writing assignments, I wouldn't need to find them in the first place. Oh and Constant Content always rejects my work. Where are some good freelance writing places online? How difficult are they to apply for? Do they have lots of work?

Hi JoyceP2007, Can give http://www.shvoong.com/aff-45820/ a try. Unlike Helium, shvOOng.com focuses on abstracts or summaries of articles and being abstracts, are much shorter and easier to write. It is free to join, have substantial subjects to write about but i have no idea about their payout. Like Helium, i joined shvOOng.com for the writing experience. Hope the info was useful.

I will have to give them a try. I have 385 articles up at Helium and am making less then half a dollar a day with them. Going to take 2 months to reach minimum payout. Thanks for the info.

The real way to accumulate any substantial cash on Helium is to participate in their contests. They have a weekly one going on right now. Trying to make money on a day-to-day basis takes too long, even with the large number of articles that you have.
