my sound

Plz help me! My onboard sound bailed out on me, so i got a new card today, put it in my case, it was auto-installed on my computer by XP. So it worked, but now it turns out that my sound just gets turned off somehow after a few minutes... You got any idea what pay cause it?

for your problem 1.maybe have a conflict with yor onboard sound with your sound card 2.Are you sure a onboard sound is really have not function or damage. 3.Try uninstall your onboard driver 4.If cant,try repair your window 5.And if cant to,connect your sound card and remove your onboard driver..after that add new harware manuall at control panel for your sound card.restart it.
