Before you know it, the last Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Deadly Gallows is to come out in only a few days. But some hackers are making fans lives miserable, especially if they get some email that gives a sneak peek not only into the book, but claims to have a e-file copy of the book itself ....It's a trap...It's none other than a computer "worm" that can affect your computer Here's an article all about it http://www.theregister.co.uk/2007/07/02/harry_potter_worm/ Just hope that no one has been affected by this Harry-A worm yet

Oh I do know that the three pages are circulating online. But I'm NOT looking for them. I don't want to know how it ends till I get to the end. Why on earth spoil it? That's insane thought about the virus / worm. People really should get lives...

so you're one of those twisted people who want to spoil things for people. I'm so concerned about the human race, it's ridiculous. I don't believe all the crap online anyway. It's ridiculous. I don't understand the people in this world, though.

I am a Mac owner, so it does not affect me, but it does aggravate me because so many things we look forward to are ruined by miserable people who try to spoil things for everyone else.

We are so lucky, having Macs. Makes me wonder why more people don't. But then there would be a shortage (S-h-h-h! Let's keep our secret!) Is having a Mac a guilty pleasure?

Why do people do that? I just don't understand! I know that any excited Harry Potter fan that got that e-mail would not even worry about a trap. That is just wrong that anyone would do that! Ugh! Thank you for the information...and I know to stay away from any Harry Potter e-mails! :D

Seems this isn't an isolated incident either...seems when the other books came out the same thing happened

Thanks for the warning, but I don't have to worry about that one. I'm not anxious to try and find out what happens. I know I will anyway by the time I get the book. I can't justify buying it when it first comes out!

I have never understood why people have to do this type of stuff. It really makes you wonder about humanity.

Those are the exact same things that I was wondering! Why...what do they gain? I don't understand either. :)

I love the Harry Potter series, pyewacket, but I've only seen some of the movies. I usually like to read the books before a new movie comes out, but I was a late starter getting into Harry Potter. I didn't think I would like them, but I was hooked after I saw the first one. Go figure. Thanks for the heads up about the virus.

I didn't get involved with Harry Potter either until a few years after the books came out...and didn't see the movies when they came out but got the DVDS...and can't see the latest movie cause it's not playing near me....drat

Why spoil the excitement of reading a book rather than e-book looking in the screen for a long time and that for reading such a long book it's insane

Hello black cat. It's a good thing I'm not much into Harry Potter. But the link you provided certainly can benefit a lot of the Harry Potter fanatic out there. Talks about people who are out to destroy our well loved computers. It just doesn't make sense why there are people out there who loves to do "crappy" things. Thanks for the head up. I sure would keep this in mind. :)

Hi, Thank you for the heads up. I don't really want to know what happens until I read the book for myself, but it would be very tempting. Temptation which can lead to a nasty computer virus! cheers,

I have read the article. Its pretty good but the problem is that all of this wouldnt have happened if the one who leaked it would do that. First of all who might have leaked the book anyways??? can anyone tell? its a crime and they should be punished whoever is the main one for leaking that. And i saw pictures of the real book.. How do they print the real copy of the book before it gets released?? i dont understand that.

I can't understand how anyone would know the real ending or any part of the book to begin with since it hasn't been released yet...think a lot of what's going on is bogus..like the so-called spoilers of what actually happens in the book
