Does it worry you when you can’t SLEEP?

It worries me, there are few times when I can’t sleep at night but then when it does happen I get worried. I really can’t explain the feeling I get, it almost like something bad is going to happen or is already happening to someone I care about. Have you ever felt like that on the nights that you can’t sleep?

Oh, I definitely knwo what you mean, Liyan..... In fact, just last night I could not sleep at all. Every time I thought I might be getting sleepy, I'd wake up because I started thinking about it! It's a very frustrating and "alone" feeling. Like you're the only person on the planet or something. It's simple anxiety, what we're dealing with. The feeling that something bad is going to happen. Unfortunately, it's very common, so at least we know we're not alone. I try to do some deep breathing exersizes and clear my mind of anything that may bring anxiety. I think of the beach or a place where I feel warm and calm. Try these thoughts and see if they can relax you! I've also noticed that when I excersize, it makes a world of difference! Get out and take a jog! You'll be very sleepy at night, that's for sure ;)

Hello there Lynboobsy11! I know what you mean I also worry about the chores I have to do the next day. Having kids is amazing but I swear it seems like there is always something to pick up off the floor every time I turn around…lol Thank you again for you response;)

I have a hard time going to sleep when my husband is away. I haven't been sleeping too much over the last couple of weeks but I'm sure when he comes back in August things will be back to normal. When I am also anxious about family members, if I hear bad news, or worried about something, then I can't sleep either. I end up getting out of bed either to watch tv, read a book or like what I did last night, jump on mylot. Sometimes coming on here makes me feel a little relieved, i don't know why but it does!

No. It don’t worry when I cant sleep some days. Because I think its natural for all the humans being to miss some regular habits some days. It might be because of some irregularities in the body on that day, which may get automatically fixed up in the few days. I do worry only when I face the same problem continuously for many days.

Now that I'm far I really can't sleep at night no matter how I tried. But I got what you mean. There are times when you cannot sleep and sometimes it's connected to something. I call it instincts or intuition unto something that we cannot tell. Same as you it worries me sometimes. But what I do is pray for that is our only weapon against whatever not so good things that might happens.

I don't worry when I can't sleep. Worrying only makes it worse. If I find I can't sleep, I get up and do something constructive. Sooner or later I'll get tired and fall asleep. If I don't, then I fall asleep the following night. Since I don't have to fly an airplane or drive a bus load of kids to and from school, my being tired is the only side effect of not getting enough sleep. I've survived many a sleepless night when my kids were small and I found that it wasn't fatal.

I get like that when I can't sleep and I don't know why that is. If I'm nervous, or full of caffeine I atleast know why I can't relax, but when it's just any other night... that scares me a little bit. Not sleeping makes me worry about things that really isn't a problem, just because I can't relax.
