Do you sing while cooking?

Me yup! i love singing...and when am cooking ohh i sing all the time! hehehehe...even use the spatula imagining it's a microphone and don't forget the matching dance steps. I remember when i was in high school, one day my mother saw me singing & dancing while i was cooking,she stopped me, saying that a woman who sings while cooking will likely to become an old maid.. of course i was scared..hehehe.. well my mother wasn't right at all. hehehehe

No, generally I don't sing when I cook. I feel that for me it would be extremely dangerous and might cause me to get my ingredients mixed up. This happened once when I was making chili con carne. I used too much chill whilst I was singing "Like a Virgin" by Madonna.

yes I do. aside from the bathroom, the kithchen is a place where I have the guts to sing...lol!

it's either i sing songs or hum while cooking. i just love music. and yup. i do dance, too while cooking. if not, maybe atleast just wiggling my butt to the tune i am making. i remember that, too. parents telling us to not sing while cooking or else, we might end up becoming old maids. well, most aren't true anyway. hehe. i still do it and i guess i will keep on doing it. it's a part of my cooking ceremony already. hehe... anne

I dont sing, but do have the radio on. Without music in the background, cooking seem to be a bore. Of course few dance I put in a few dance movements if I find a good dance music going.

I sing while I am cooking, but then I am married so it is okay. I also did it when I was single. I love to sing, and once a tune gets in my head, it has to come out. Most of the time, I make up my own tunes.
Mind you I do not imagine I am a popular singer, I am more into classical music, but it does help to be happy.

of course i love singing and i do it professionaly, i mean singing not cooking lol. i am a singer and if ever i need to study some new materials i do it when im cooking... but mom said do not sing while preparing the food...
well not as the same reason of yours that will end up old maid, with the reason that saliva can be spilled on the food unoticeably. sometimes it causes food to be easily spoiled.

oh. good point roni. your mom has good reasons about not singing while cooking. i haven't taught about that. good you mentioned it here. i will try not to sing while cooking. but i guess humming won't cause any harm, right?

but believe it or not when you got used to it its really hard to control. now i still am singing... while waiting for it to get cook but not infront while sauteing or mixing. wink wink

I also sing while I cook! Usually I put on my favourite music or the soundtrack from some musical in the background and sing along. And the part about ending up an old maid... hehe, my fianceé is exactly the same. :D

yes i do sing while cooking...but my grandmother used to restrain us from singing while cooking because according to her there might some creatures (from another world) listening to us..and if that creature feel in love with our voice they might get us and bring to their their world...hehehe some kind of scary..sometimes old folks used to tell us scary reasons for us not to do such thing especially when we are still young or kids (where we are afraid of many things for some apparent reasons).
