When its hot and sticky, where do you like to swim? I like to swim in a pool but sometimes the water is too warm, the beaches get crowded in the summertime but the water is cooler...

I love them both but prefer the pool. We have a pool at our house so it's much easier to swim in the pool. I actually like my pool water warm.

Since we have our own little 12ft pool, I much perfer to just be able to take a dip in there and not to have to worry about crowds or going anywhere to find a place to swim.

I prefer to swim at the beach, that is if we could move to Greater Vancouver. However I no longer look that good in a swimming suit. True, I have lost a lot of weight and my stomach does not stick out a mile, but I am no longer twenty-one. I do not like to swim in a pool because I want to smell the sea air.

I love both. I've never had an experience where the water in a pool was too warm, but sometimes there's too much chemical in them. Or not enough, I was in a pool once and it felt like the water left a slimy residue on my skin when I got out. I don't mind beach crowds as long as there's room to move and people are considerate with their music.

I love to swim at the beach when it's hot and sticky. It's usually not as hot at the beach as it is in the city because of the ocean breeze. Depending on where you go, some beaches can be quite secluded which is nice. Unfortunately for me the beach is about 5 hours from here so I don't get to go very often. Rivers, lakes, and pools, indoors or out, are not my first choice, but these are the places I swim most.

Yeah, lakes are great too. But I really prefer the springs. Hot and cold springs are the best. Without an after feel of salt in your body. Refreshing and natural. I miss the hot springs. Too bad it's far from where I am at. =)

When given a choice between a pool or a beach I will chose to swim in a pool because there are no rocks to step on. Also, pools are professionally cleaned. Finally, I do not live near a beach even if I wanted to swim there, but I do live near a pool.

Without doubts, I like to swim in a Pool. A big swimming pool, it is way better than the ocean. In the beach I use to go, it's getting crowded of small creatures, fishes and etc on the water. It really sucks, you are swimming when you realize you stomp on something. That's why I like Swimming Pools. You cannot enjoy the waves, but at least you can swim safe. I don't know how to swim, I give it a try and I can do something near it. I just can't breath while swimming, so that's the hard part. But whatever, when I spend my vacation on a beach club again I'll learn it.

Since I was born in the wonderful Mediterranean Coast of Spain, I am partial to the beach. I used to go swimming every day in the summer. The water was great. I also like the beach better because it is easier to float than in the pool. I would love to be able to take my children there and teach them how to sim in the ocean. So, my vote is the beach.
