Have you ever had to have therapy done for some reason ? I'm going right now for knee, hip and back and I swear I hurt more now than I did before. I'm not sure if I want to keep going. If I stopped would it hurt my SSI case.Should I put up with the pain and then quit after and if I get approved. Any advice thanks in advance.

I haven't had to do any physical therapy but I had to watch my mom and dad go through it. my mom after her stroke and my dad after his hip surgeries both of them. It is very painful and possibly more so in your case since you cannot take painkillers. But if I was you I would stick with it and yes it would help in your case possibly. By the way I was talking to someone about your problem and she told me that her teacher had the same surgery as you the to lose weight and she said her teracher took liquid form pain medicine to help with the pain so it went straight to work and no need to disolve and then work 30-40 minutes later. Maybe you should ask about that?

If you are hurting really bad, make sure you inform the therapist, they will know what to do. I have had therapy and with all that they do during the session I have hurt a bit..but if this is worse than when you went in then you need to tell them..I do not know about the SSI, but you should not be in more pain now than when you went in.

Therapy is no picnic. You usually feel worse before you feel better. My suggestion would be to continue to go, for however long your doctor says. It is an extremely important step in your recovery. I'm sure you've heard the expression, "use it, or lose it?" Well, that's what will happen if you stop. You will most likely end up feeling a lot worse than you do right now, and you probably won't be able to function as well as you could, if you were to continue to go. :o)
