As you may know I am off to Rhodes in October, as part of my secret plan. It's all 007 here at the moment with the underhand planning, scheming and plotting LOL
Seriously tho' I've have always wanted to go to Rhodes especially to see the Colossus, my favourite cousin got married there a few years back I had college commitments then so I couldn't go, but I vowed I would
So that is why I chose Rhodes to escape to and to give me confidence about going to a different country and to get me on a plane again (oooer!) I wish I had chosen Cyprus because I have been there and it is much hotter in October
However I have been warned that it is COLD in Rhodes in October
Have you been to Rhodes and can you give a NEWBIE some recommendations hotels/weather/where to go/where to stay
It's in October so once I get some good feedback, ideas then I will go along to my local travel agents and once it's booked THERE'S NO GOING BACK
My plans will then be finalized!
woohoooooo!

I think I would rather drive my friend, I don't like planes and the fact that I'm even considering flying and ALONE is a massive obstacle if I can accomplish that then my confidence will ZOOM......... I have my eye on Scotland too xxxxx

hey wolfie i am so glad that you are going there, i know that you will enjoy yourself very much, for how long are you planning to be there?
To my knowledge, october is the start of the winter season, but i was in cretes and all of those areas, and it is not that cold like people described you.
You can refer it as a 'light' winter, not like the heavy winters in some parts of europe, and it sure will not rain as much as england.
the weather there is very similiar to israel in the winter.
And i am sure that in october which is the start of the winter, you will have a few days of sun and nice weather.
Not enough to go for a swim, but a very nice weather, you really do not have nothing to worry about.

So are you moving to Rhodes in your attempt to leave your bad living situation?? It is so hard to move someplace and make a new start, believe me I have done it more than once, it is so exciting seeing it develop for you and even thou it seems like ages until October, before you know it, it will be here and you will be one your own, by yourself, to enjoy your life to the fullest.
Be well, my friend!

Wow, wolfie, it's nice to see you all hyped up for a vacation to Rhodes. No, please don't ask me as I do not have any idea about Rhodes. I hopped by to give you my support here.
Go for it, howling wolf "nasty grin" You can make do with your 007 agent role in the meantime. It will definitely give you the chance to be a James Bond.
I'm sure there are members here who can give you a more detailed views of Rhodes. Good luck and have a safe journey. In the meantime, I will keep on messing on your threads, lol.

Well honey I have never been to Rhodes and while it is probably not as hot in October I don't think it will be as cold as here! I found a few sites that were quite good and was going to post a link but it is probably better for you to look through some of the different sites yourself! I hope you get some info from those in the know honey! Remember your sister is always here for you no matter what! Hugs xxx

I find Ayia Napa far too noisy and too full of night life for me. I stayed at Limassol/Limassos and that was beautiful. I didn't like Larnaca horrible place! I should have chosen Cyprus least I'd know my way around but I stuck with Rhodes. Hope you are ok my good friend x
