For those of us who have jobs and Internet Businesses that we do besides our Writing, or posting in Blogs, PTC, etc. how do you manage your time so you still keep your Business flourishing and everything else going well? For me, that is a major issue. I have 2 online Businesses that I am doing that keep me quite busy and then there is my Full time job, Writing in here, Associated Content, etc. to where somedays it feels like I am spread pretty thin. I am always wanting to make more money online than I am, so that eventually I could stay at home Fulltime if I needed too. Does anyone have any thoughts and suggestions for time management that has helped them? And how do you keep everything organized to where you are giving your fair share of time to each thing you need to be doing as well as being able to get a Full nights rest?

I do all the surveys and writing in the morning mostly. When I am freshest so to speak. I do Mylot and other things in the afternoon. I have all I can to go straight to folders so I can do things as I have the time. Certain things only need done every couple of days. I have the evening after I work, for anything that might come up in the afternoon and then I can do that when I get off work if I feel that I need to. Weekends can be catch up time also if I somehow get behind. I have a real life and take care of that and then the computer adds to it. I too would like to be home full time, it could happen the more I get organized and the hard work I put in starts to pay off. Good luck to you. Need to go shower and prepare for work. I have the evening free this evening. I will write a couple of articles and catch up on correspondence etc this evening. Tomorrow is another day. Good luck in all you do and if you ever need a pep talk then message me and I shall help in any way I can.

I prefer to do most of my internet work in the morning too, as I think much more quickly then. In the afternoon my level of concentration drops a lot, so it is best tht I do boring housework then. Sometimes I can concentrate enough to do My Lot in the evenings.

I'm dealing with this problem as well. I have a full time job, a craft business online, and assorted writing jobs that I pick up here and there. The good thing for me is that the majority of the online jobs I do allow me to work as little or as much as I like. The downside of that, of course, is that it becomes really easy to be lazy and just watch TV instead. :) I don't think I have the discipline to make my part-time stuff my full time job, but a girl can dream. :) As for organization, I make a lot of lists. Usually, I'll have a list for each of the websites where I do work, and each list has all the tasks that I need to do for that site. I update them as time goes by, adding new tasks and scratching off completed ones, and making a new list when the old one gets full or too messy. I think that helps with the organization some. What would make this work even better is if you wrote down how much time you thought each task would take, or how much time you wanted to spend on a given task. Then, if you looked at the clock and saw you had 15 minutes, you could find a 15 minute project on one of your lists.

There was a time I used to Write down every site I did online and try to take time to get thru each of them as I had time. I was even thinking last night I should start doing this again and see if it helps any. Maybe if I actually wrote them all down, and took time to go thru them as I could, I would find myself spending more time doing those instead of being lazy and feeling like I am never getting nothing done online.

For me, one is the most effective ways to manage my time is to keep a diary. I list everything I need to do, sometimes weeks in advance. Daily tasks are just put in there the day before. I check my diary regularly. I tick the tasks that have been completed. If a task was not done that day, I cross it & write it in for the next day.

I just treat places like mylot and blogging and such as extra spending money. I do not think you can make much even if you are online 24/7 on such sites enough to retire. My avenue is investment in unit trusts. I just invest like a thousand every 2 months and slowly build up my portfolio. I can make at least 15% every year. So I am working towards my goal of having a hundred thousand portfolio so I can get fifteen thousand every year and can stop working if I have to.

I usually go through a lot everyday specially online. I manage websites, doing a new one right now, doing myLot at the same time doing piano lessons, plus a lot more. I usually manage my time with the computer by using my laptop and desktop. Plus using mozilla's tab feature. I usually set time slots for all my activities, and see to it that I type very fast and think very fast so that nothing is wasted. Plus of course, focus is a very tough deal to do, I just condition myself first. Before I do start, I always make sure I won't need to go out or do something else but do what I am tasked to do for that hour. I usually take rests and while doing so, I upload the things I need to upload an download the things I need to download (this really is tasking and time consuming at times, so I rest while doing so) or I do myLot while doing those stuff. But, as a practical person, we can't really make a lot of money all the time online. So you must find a way to have activities that would make you more money even if you can't go online. I still am doing some partime jobs and business that would not tie me up in them. These things keep me alive while internet things are just good way to earn extra. Well, maybe it's just me, but I don't think anyone would be really very successful just posting. I mean, $0.01 a post? You can't buy food for the whole day with that. Go look for something 'stable' and let this be partime. We were given feet, a body and a mind to at least do a decent living. =) we weren't just given fingers hahaha.. Well, that's how I feel. I don't need anyone agreeing or disagreeing with me there. Anyways, good luck. Setup a routine so that you'll see how productive you could really get. =)

Time management is usually a compelling problem for me if I want to improve myself and make my daily life rich. I tried to record the things that I want to finish, but found that the situation is always out of my plan. And then the plan went to null. The best and easiest way is to find a proper substitute to finish the work. That may sound funny. A video on economics and management told me that means. Only by that means one can spend more time on the things that he/she thinks more valuable. The only problem is how to find the "proper" person: cost, efficiency and equality must be taken into consideration. The person can be your friend, relative, colleague and even the one from the Internet. If that ideal person is hard to find, then i have to deal with it myself. It would be terrible if I tried to get everything down at the same time meanwhile I didn't prepare myself to sacrifice my rest time. The second way is to improve the efficiency by every means. Keep attention on one thing and put others away, then have a little rest, and then keep the same attention on another thing. Just like the working principle of CPU(with the exception of dual core), try your best to give any task the proper priority and sources. It seems a paradox that everything is in a best state. I don't know what the details of these tasks, but if it's about Internet business, maybe some softwares could help. Actually, software is very suitable for repetitive tasks. Or you can write a program or find someone to write the program. Of course, if the job needs creativity and reasonable thinking, the best advice is just do it and try to find the pleasure from the work in hand which might help to reduce the pain resulted from little rest and intense work.

Prior to entering online earning, I used to spend a lot of time talkng to relatives and friends over telephone, I used to watch TV, I used to listen to music, go out with friends. Now that I have my own business (business centre where all business services are provided), during business hours too I will be operating internet, when there are no customers and then in the night and early morning I concentrate on internet. I feel now the time is properly managed. Only on sundays, all the family members go out to meet the people, friends, places.

This has been something I have struggled with for a long time, especially with family time to balance while working from home. I think you just have to figure out how much time is needed for each project and weigh the importance of the project with that. Take the time to sit down and figure out a good schedule, it is definitely worth it.

The idea of staying at home and being able to support myself has a lot of appeal. Unfortunately, I have a 40 hour job that keeps me off of the computer except on my 3 days off. Glad to hear that people can actually make some money online! Can't help you with the time management.

I try and set up a schedule on paper or at least in my head to kind of decide exactly how I'll spend my time. If you have a lot of things to do, you can work on a daily schedule, instead of a weekly schedule. You could do certain things on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and others on Tuesday and Thursday, or what not. Something so you're not doing the same thing every day. If you keep doing the same thing every day, you're bound to get bored and tired of it rather quickly, and you won't have much motivation to keep up with it all the time. Try changing it up really, that's what I do. Try to make sure I don't get too tired of what I do.

Yeah it is hard to manage your time. I've always been pretty bad at it. I do my best work at night so I can push myself.
