Do People On myLot Help You To Make Decisions About YOUR Everyday Life?

When you post a discussion, or ask a question- are you actually looking for the answer? Do you take into account all the different information and experience people share in their responses? Do you take that info and experience with you when you go to make a decision in your normal day to day life? For example, if you ask if people think you should get car insurance- do you think about all the responses you received to that discussion when decising whether or not to get that car insurance? Personally, I find the vast array of different perspectives, and the multitude of experiences and information available here on myLot invaluable. Although I do not base ALL of my decisions, primarily on the advice I am given, I do consider what was said to me and take it into account when making my choices.

I do take into consideration the advice I am given here. It is like talking to a bunch of your closest friends. They all have different opinions and they all have different advice and most are being honest and looking out for your best interest. I think about it for myself before doing something but I will at least take into consideration the advice I am given.

Mostly no specially if it's a personality linked matter i have to take my own decision even if it's wrong that would give such desired experiences later and i can be a decision maker if i depend on the others taking a decision it may help temporarily but what if i lost my internet connection????????LOL I WON'T BE WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO TAKE A DECISION FOR ME

I think all the advise is not workable, but many are time a worthy solution can be found to take decision from various discussions. One night I seeked one advise to one USA girl mylot lot friend and she did it that was much helpful to me - I had sent one PM from mylot message center to one mylot friend and she considered my advise acceptable and followed it and I found that was helpful to her. So within many minds here something become useful for our every life.

Hey megs, The one discussion that changed my mind is when I asked if you should leave your computer on-most said turn it off & I had been advised not to ever turn it off but now I do.This one doesn't really fall under advice but I had asked for prayer & the responses I got actually made me cry b/c I could feel in my heart how much ppl do really care when another is hurting & it touched me.BTW I thanked God for them & asked him to bless those ppl their prayers have helped. +'s |:)

As per my belief very few opinions are being helpful to take any decision. People who are expert in that perticular filed can give right opinion, but unfortunately we cannot know about the person who is replying. There should be some approval method to allow the person to give his/her opinion here.

I'm new to myolot, but have asked a few questions about things looking for advice. I do take all the answers into consideration when making a final decision for my personal life. I like to learn from others' life experiences:)

They do because everything you can possibly talk about is on mylot. People can respond back too. Its like having a real discussion with people. Even when I'm alone I'm not when I'm on mylot.

Sometimes I see good advice provided on here that I may consider in my decision making. I can see opinions that I never would have thought of that help balance out the process of deciding what to do in the long run. I only do this on occasion though. Sometimes advice on here cannot be the best either. I think that comes with the territory though of talking to others, reading advice columns, and things like that. Those types of sources can help offer options, but only you know what to do in the long run.

Yes, a lot of replies from other mylot members help me to make decisions about my everyday life. For example, I've asked in mylot about how to withdraw money from moneybookers. I've got valuable answers and I really use them to practise. And it helped me a lot. If I hadn't asked around, I wouldn't know what to do then. So again, yes many of the responses here help me in making my everyday life decision.

Good question... for making decisions say on car insurance I am more apt to go to websites like epinions etc.... What this site does do it allows me to see what is on people's minds and it is quite humorous sometimes what I see. Others have problems that need solving and others have questions that are not related to any product (a lot of my posts have been just about such things). Even if they didn't pay the little money they do, this is a great resource.

I have found so many wonderful people here, all of whom have such good advice and help. Sometimes it just helps to get a different perspective on a problem, and even if you just want to rant, there are people here to help

I wouldn't ask if I didn't need other people's advice and viewpoints. Whether or not I expect to actually find THE answer depends on what I'm asking. I once asked for help in finding a recipe that I lost, someone was gracious enough to respond with THE recipe rather than just point me to a website. On more serious issues only I will have THE answer but hearing what everyone else has to say helps me sort out the problem. Sometimes though, I have found myself at such a complete loss until one person's response will jump out at me and I can say "That's it, that's what I needed to hear." That's rare though because usually by the time I am able to put the problem into words to post here I'm half way to the answer anyway.

If they are discussions that I am seeking advice for, I do take into account what others have said. I may not necessarly listen to it, but I do take note of it and if it is appropriate to what I am looking for, then I may apply it. For instance I recently posted a discussion on "establishing good credit" and I got some really good advice and will be discussing some points with my husband. I always appreciate the advice I do receive from my friends on here.

Hi, To be honest with you, that is the main reason I come to MyLot. I have received a ton of advice from my friends on here and I have taken that advice and my life is much happier because of it. It is true that the advice is not always on target, but the wide perspectives help a great deal. Also, I can always count on my core group of friends to be there to help me out. cheers,

I beleive that some of the things that you read on mylot tend to spill over into everyday life as it applies to what you are doing and thinking you come to mylot to expand your knowledge and what other people in other parts of the world help you to see more things differently then you would have before so to answer your question yes it does aide in my thoughts and decisions.
