Okay yainal, I think I can help you here. I smoked for 20 years and just finally quit a couple months ago, and not for lack of trying previously. I tried lozenges, gum, nothing worked for me. This is not to say this won't be the case for you. Smoking is a habit, and any habit takes time to break. Here's what did it for me. I made up my mind I was going to quit and I went to get informed. I found a really great website and all the information I learned help me cope with cravings, remind myself that htis was for my own good, and helped me break the habit. Here's a link, I hope it's a much help for you as it was for me....www.whyquit.com Remember, cravings only last 3 minutes, you can do it!!!

You should ask your doctor for advice first before you try to quit smoking.

There is something new on the market that has a very high success rate called Chantix. www.chantix.com Some of my friends have recommended it to me, as I have tried cold turkey, patches, and Zyban. The desire to not smoke is there, but I guess my willpower is low.

I went to see my doctor yainal and asked to be put on the smoking tablets, there are 2 types apparently, I had one and my mum had the other. I have been quit now for 10 weeks.
