why do i keep having this dream???

my dad died 8 years ago and every now and then i have a dream where im in his house packing his belongings and in my dream im aware that hes died and then he suddenly appears and i say to him what are you doing here you have died and he says to me im not dead. i had this very dream last night and ive had it servel times before. does anyone know why im having this recurring dream and what it means?
