As we all know the dishes magically wash themselves(?). Anyway in my house they have a little help from mum and a small 4 place dishwasher. However, Shrek wanted to cut costs so I bought shops own diswasher tablets, then he moaned they were not as clean. My boys decided to help mummy, opened the cupboard, opened the dishwasher and put in a more than generous squirt of washing up liquid. Mummy innocently popped in breakfast pots, one of the better tablets, closed the door and wandered off - ooops! The bubbles did clean the pots, the cupboard and the kitchen floor, lol. I ended up outside with the hose trying to get the suds of a dishwasher tray full of pots with the hose, hee-hee! Have a happy Sunday everyone! If you run out of dishwasher tablets - don't try this, lol!

Mummy was really good and spent the morning clearing bubbles. Mummy didn't yell or even say much after "OH NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Grandma and Grandad took the boys for the afternoon as they had already offered and Mummy got a couple of hours peace. Mummy is really looking forwards to the rest of the 6 weeks holidays, see what they can do for an encore.

Oh heavens, what will those boys do next! Do you have any photos of the mess and did they enjoy clearing it up? My kids used to love playing in bubbles and having bubble fights. Thank you for the washing up liquid tip though, I may very well have tried that if I ran out of the conventional dishwasher stuff and now I know it is not a good idea!

No pickies, mummy was in trouble of daddy somehow, then he went to work and left me to it. He coralled the boys in the lounge so no bubble play for them til he went. He just didn't find it amusing bless him. Sometimes all you can do is give in and laugh your head off so I did, about the time I had the hosepipe on the tray of pots balanced on the birdbath. It did take some getting rid of but never mind, worse things happen.

I am sure it was not funny at the time, but as you are telling it, it is. Thanks for the laugh and the warning.

I did have a moment of horror on seeing the first lot of foam, but by the time I was balancing the tray of pots on the birdbath to try and hose bubbles off I had disolved in laughter like a wicked witch in water. I dried the bottom of the dishwasher out with towels and put them in the washer - twice as there was foam in there when it finished, not sure if it got some wash liquid too, lol. It did take ages to sort out really, but at least nothing was damaged which is a change in my house, hee-hee - boys, gotta love 'em.

Sounds like a fun day. At least after it is all said and done things are really clean. I only wish to wash my dishes in the sink. Those dishwashers are just not for me. 4 place dishwasher, isn't that a small one? Hope you thought about taking a few pictures. That would be a good set for the album.

No pickies, too much like hard work trying to get rid of the bubbles, but at least I could see the funny side and the floor enjoyed a really good sudzy wash morning. My dishwasher is little and fits nicely in a cupboard with space ontop for shopping, it does the jog tho - sometimes better than others, hee-hee.
