Definitely Dream Theater. It's Metallica 2.0. And if you're into heavy metal, listen to Dream Theater's "Train of Though". You will not regret it.

I recommend Trivium, they're supposed to be the new Metallica. Also bands like Anthrax, Biohazard, Slayer, just thrash metal bands in general.

megadeath, godsmack, motorhead, sepultura, 3 Doors Down (to some extent-although they are not bass guitar junks like the rest)

check out Megadeth,Dream theater,Stratovarius,Linkin Park.there are many bands man.it depends on what you are looking for in a band,whether it s the guitar work or the vocals.
